Some ST posters didn't want His Softness regardless of Kawhi's performance.
Whiteside is maxed there, even though he's a headache. They are really liking Bam Adebyo, and the Spurs would want him in the deal.

Pretty much as reported...

Like I said, not saying you are wrong about the friction. I was reading that New York is ready to make a play for Wall, and the Lakers already tried to get him with a "Lonzo" package.
Same people. You all should get a room.
Not many teams want Lonzo, either; NY and LA are hardly teams to hold up as examples of how to do things.
If you're going to trade LaMarcus to Atlanta you have to get John Collins in exchange. Otherwise there's no point.
I like it because it gets LMA's last year of the contract off the books when our young guys turn into RFA's. Bacon would be a nice addition to the bench, and Biyombo would fill the minutes to give Jakob a rest. Set screens, follow shots, dive to the basket, protect the rim, grab rebounds, all knowing he's not going to finish games. Just be a defensive minutes eater.
No offense to LMA, but I think he's the reason of the downfall of the Spurs when they signed him.I'm too was excited about it because he's the next biggest signing of the Spurs since RJ.
If he would just beast down low, he would be incredible. But no, has to constantly shoot weak ass fade-aways.
I've been saying it all season. He needs to be gone. He doesn't fit and he makes absolutely, positively no effort to fit. He is hurting the team more than helping. PATFO should see what they can get for him and if it would benefit the team then pull the trigger.
you trade him for Beal. Try to get Jeff Green in that deal as well
This is the point. He is not going to play like a center. He needs a center on the floor to play with him. When there is a center on the floor and he plays PF, he is highly effective.
This makes sense
Tha Tank Commander 😂😂😂
Told u so... Since the year he demanded a trade I've been saying we needed to trade him no matter what... Extending him at the beginning of that season was a very stupid move
Bingo... We have a winner. Time to trade him anywhere for anyone who can shoot or high draft picks. See if JP develops.
Whether he is listed as a C or a PF his shot selection isn't different. Besides he is not a capable PF in the modern league. Modern PFs have a great deal more mobility and can play on the perimeter. The Spurs do not need to add another big to muck up things even worse. They need to move LMA before he loses all value.
Why not just buy out his contract? Cap room is always helpful to have.
After the 2016/17 season there was a post about making realistic trade offers for LMA, this was mine:
Wish it happened. There would have been no need to re-sign Patty after getting Mudiay, Spurs would have a better SF than Cunningham, and Drummond would be an upgrade over LMA. Plus all of them are young players.
Come on, no one is taking on that albatross of a contact
