As much as it pains me to say this, Rivers would be a good grab.

It's tempting because he's a 26-year-old in his prime who has a ton of experience and has hit some big shots in the playoffs () but I just can't co-sign on signing Rivers for the minimum. Offensively, he's a bad mix of too ball-dominant without being a good shooter or a good playmaker. That's pretty much the opposite of what the Spurs need. Add in sub par defense and I'd much rather just keep a path open for White to eventually soak up minutes.
Advanced stats are very unkind to Rivers. Real plus-minus, for example, ranks him has the 433rd best player in the NBA out of 455, with his offense and defense equally as terrible.
Pass.
So i dont get why Suns did this trade. they gave up a trade piece that a lot of teams wanted for a player they waived and a player they did not even want. They tried to have a third team take Oubre. They got no picks so why did they do this deal?
I think so too. He wrecked us in the playoffs in 2015 as well as a couple regular season games over the years.
I doubt anyone offered us a first rounder for Ariza, or else we probably would have done that. Apparently he was becoming too toxic to hold onto until the trade deadline. He didn't want to be here.
I think we intended to keep Rivers until the 3 game win streak and now they don't want to mess up the chemistry.
if suns are tanking makes no sense to keep a vet taking away young guys minutes
White isn't too far away and he has a bigger forehead tbh.
Don't you guys think that we have enough garbage on this team already? Pass!
He would be an immediate upgrade in every facet of the game for Forbes.
Phoenix have so many 3s - Oubre, Josh Jackson, TJ Warren, Bridges - something's got to give. Seems like they're high on Bridges, TJ Warren's extension just kicked in and they probably liked Oubre to do that trade way before the deadline. Wonder when they'll sour completely on Jackson. They don't even try to play him at the 4 and his development has stagnated, he's on the Marquese Chriss trajectory, only Jackson's been even worse. But still a good project if that shot is somewhat fixable.
I still really like Jackson's skills...he could be just what we need at sf (expecially if Chip start immediately to work on improving his outside shot). Considering Phoenix needs to mentor Ayton, maybe they could be interested in trade Him and Bender for Pau...I would't mind to include a second draft choice too.
