BUSH 1 did everything liberals wanted on going to war and raising taxes. If FDR had stood for a "libertarian form" of free market economics, shunned keynesian economics, and planned a recovery on the backs of free enterprisem, instead of having a half socialist NEw deal. THen yOud have a point. But then again, having FDR practicing conservative economics is an alternate reality.
