IMHO, there is nothing better than a good Cuban sammich with ham, roast pork, cheese, and a pickle between a sliced length of Cuban bread. The key to a great, versus a good, Cuban Sammich lies in the grilling. A great Cuban sandwich is grilled to perfection. I use my George Foreman grill and they come out mighty fine each time.

At home I like getting Orowheat Onion buns, turkey/turkey ham and muenster cheese together and throwing them in a toaster oven. Slap on some mus and baby spinach when it comes out and you're in business.

Yes. The shrimp poorboy at Landry's is excellent. I haven't had one here in San Antonio, but the one at Galveston (on the wharf) had wonderful poorboys; I would assume they'd be good here, too. My favorite sandwich to make at home is roast beef and swiss with a little mayo on the bolillos from HEB. My favorite sandwich, other than burgers, at a restaurant is the BLT at Chester's Hamburgers (make sure you ask them to make it on Texas toast, otherwise you get it on a burger bun - that's still GOOD, but the Texas toast ones are better). They put LOTS of bacon on their BLTs. The chicken sandwich at Chili's is pretty decent, too. And the turkey sub from the Barbecue Station in Converse is outstanding.

The Cuban sandwich at Hooter's is very good. They have a fish sandwich that is excellent, too.
