    $20 is a good number

    1) indexed to inflation so it's taken out of politicians control

    2) indexed to cost-of-living by region.

    a state is too big an economic area as basis for indexing Fed min wage


    A $20 federal minimum wage? You might have some people quitting skilled jobs to take an unskilled minimum wage job.

    Several objectives,

    one is to get people off public assistance,

    get people out of poverty (like the CARES $600/week did)

    another is to shift upward all wages.

    Labor's income has been successfully suppressed by Capitalists for 40+ years.

    If median income had kept with with GDP growth, the median income would be $100K rather than $60K, instead nearly all the growth in national wealth has been hoarded by the top 10%
