Well, there's nothing like discriminating tastes.
Well, I would enjoy a bottle of $70 French Bordeaux, but that doesn't mean that I can't get a bottle of wine that is half as good at 1/6th the price.

Actually, you can probably get a wine that is better for 1/10 the price.

    Don't think I
bought a pound or anything like that. I bought a little bag worth $2..
Trust me I didn't want to buy the whole bag either, I just wanted to see what Starbucks coffee would taste like at home. They only had the 7.00 dollar bag, after I used the grinder I put the coffee in a HEB coffee bag, I wonder if it made a difference? I already had the HEB bag under the machine and there was a very nervous jittery dude behind me that looked like he needed his coffee ASAP! so I did not want to waste anymore time. I also smack the machine as it is grinding, so I can see how I might get a few coffee beans some other person left behind.

Since I don't smoke pot anymore, and I haven't had a beer in two weeks? Coffee has been my drug of choice, I notice My sleeping habbits have not changed much, I still get my 3 hours of sleep from 4-7 AM every day, Unless I pull an all nighter and I do that around 3 times a week, Since I can remember back when I was 11 years old, I always would stay up two nights in a row and then crash for about 14 hours and then repeat, My dad was to busy shooting heroin and I never knew my mother so I had a lot of free time as a child, The Army and Smith security both loved me, They hate folks who they catch sleeping all the time, In the 80s I was into some drug dealing and I had the sweetest crank connection in San Antonio, not that crap they call Meth that they sell made from pills, I am talking about the good stuff, One juicy line and your good for 24 hours, and your apartment is spotless, Those red neck fools in the midwest that they show on 20/20 and HBO? they have all over there houses, and they need more speed every 30 minutes, They have no idea what real Crank is all about, some of you who are in your late 30s and early 40s know what real drugs can do, not only was your house spotless? but you knew how many pennies you had in youir penny jar as you ran out of stuff to do,

So until someone comes up with a pill that lets you do 3 days of work in 8 hours? coffee will just have to do. I just came back from HEB abd i must say The San Antonio blend does have scoreboard on the others,

I mix in some starbucks and a 1/2 cup of regular coffee and I am set for tonight, now all I need is some Prozacx or Xannnax

I just came back from HEB and I paid 7 bucks for a bag of Starbucks beans which I used the Expresso grind to make a cup of coffee, It's ok I guess but for some reason it does not taste the same as if I went to starbucks.

what type of coffee are you drinking these days?

    thanks.
I pay $20 once a month for a 40 oz bag of Starbucks French (dark, smoky) Roast, whole bean which I grind fine. Five coffee scoops per 10 cup pot. Two splendas and 2 tablespoons of dry vanilla creamer per 10 oz cup.
Doesn't get any better than that!

I've bought the smaller pre-ground starbucks at Kroger's and it doesn't compare to what I get from Sam's.

Hey what is that thing called? maybe it's the way I am making my coffee?

I have been pouring the water on top. maybe I need to brew it, I use around 1/2 cup of very fine grind, and it's killing my girlfriends cigarettes money, It's almost as bad if I just went back to beer, I am not sure If I can go back to hill bros, I am hooked on the good stuff,

anyone know what this french press is all about?

The only coffee I have in the house is that instant stuff made from high quality, columbian grown, coffee crystals. Just a small can for when my MIL comes over, nothing but the best for her.

Mouse, you need to try cowboy coffee if you like the strong stuff...just throw the coffee straight in the water and boil it. The longer the better. Then dribble a little cold water on top and it will make most of the coffee grounds settle to the bottom so you can pour your coffee off the top.

I had a pumpkin ed Latte from starbucks the other day and it was really good. It helps that I like the pumpkin flavored coffee (though I don't really like pumpkin itsel)

    That is John Wayne style!
I will try that today. I can still send it though my single cup filter so I won't need to add the cold water?

I don't get how they add flavor to the coffee bean, kinda like that bubble gum flavored pot.

    How do they do it?

You can get JM Blue Mountain at Costco, bold roast, about $10/2 pound sac.

    Same for Costa Rican.

I tried the chocolate-flavored coffee from HEB. Smelled wonderfully chocolate-ly when brewing, but almost no chocolate flavor. End of experiment with girly/gay flavored coffee.

My guess is that they don't add flavor. They just have a pumpkin/coconut/vanilla/whatever flavored syrup. They pour some of the syrup into the cup, then pour the regular coffee.
