Looks like Portland using a mid season tryout squad. Pathetic
I swear I'm not racist, but the dancers that just came out for halftime are whiter than most baby powder.

I mean, it's Portland. It used to be illegal to be black in Oregon.
Drew Ewbanks having a very good game against the Spurs and has been playing well for Blazers since the trade.
Give the Portland fans credit for showing up. The place looks surprisingly full all things considered.
Yeah, very happy for him. He's playing for his NBA future. Hopefully he gets a contract in the summer.
I can't imagine paying for this performance.
Not gonna dignify even turning on this stupid game but if justice is served San Antonio will get a lottery pick ahead of these tanking mofos
I think the Blazers have two lottery picks this year. They'll probably wind up with two top 4 picks.![]()
I want the Spurs to lose more games but how do you compete, so to speak, with Portland? The current system and incentives create such an embarrassing spectacle.
Well happens fellas. Sometimes the other team comes out there with its eye on the prize and just plain Wants it more. Then *bam* the game's over before it's ever really started.
Just gotta pick your heads up, burn the tape and get back on the L train at the next station.

this season is shaping up exactly as I thought it would. Spurs would hang around the bottom of the west most of the season only for teams in front of them with more talent to start blatantly tanking after the all star break resulting in the Spurs finishing 11th and ing their draft spot up.
What was that between Eubanks and Jock at the end of the game? It seems like Eubanks has a beef with Landale maybe for taking his spot?![]()
What happened?
Yup. Down 25 pts. In the first quarter. At home. To a team 1/2 game ahead of you is the definition of laying down and dying.
They had some exchanges at the last play. Eubanks, at the Blazers’ bench, seemed to be taunting Jock, as the guys try to pull Jock back after the game. Zollins telling Jock to just ignore while Jock was telling what happened. Finally Eubanks explaining himself to Dejounte his version when they greeted. I don’t know. Seems like there’s taunting going on between the two.I don’t know if anybody else saw that. Maybe Eubanks was telling Jock, “you can’t guard me.”?

Glad to see the team shoot well at least.
I am going to forget about the hope for a top 4 pick.
Murray is gunning for MIP (as he should considering the season he’s had) evident by his playing 30 minutes in a blowout - he got to pad those stats.
Spurs need to look to trades to pair someone up with him and maybe that’s their plan.
Yeah he needs some work for sure.
Didn’t watch the game; were they atleast chicks? Lol
I’m not sure if Vassell starting is taking away all his rebounds though. It would help if he can put in more triple-doubles
I think his body of work for the season is already impressive. In this game for example, his efficiency was outstanding, the kind of 3 pt shots he took and made. Morant has had a terrific season and the Grizzlies have improved a ton as a team, so he's basically the favorite but Dejounte has made a good case and it would be better if he gets the team in the play in/playoffs. A few rebounds less isn't as impressive as if he managed that feat. At least that is what is on my mind right now.
Spurs are going all out trying to make that play in, and the teams they play in the play in game aren't that impressive. The team has flaws, particularly the bottom of the team is one of the weakest in the NBA. They need some talent and I am not sure it will all come from the draft. One thing that has been on my mind for a few days, is that I can't see the Spurs adding 3 teenagers in this draft (or however many) and nothing else while keeping a 26 year old DJ in the team next year playing at an all star level. DJ has made the case for building around him, and perhaps the Spurs will focus on that if they make a run in the play in. Teams that are serious about the playoffs start to consider not just the draft, but more specifically veterans in other teams. This is just thinking out loud writing here. We'll see.
Sean made a good point the other night (or his co-anchor). Ja at #2 is expected to be good and should have less case at MIP than Murray at #29. Murray has effectively took over the helm from Demar with an AS production, even averaging almost triple-double. He relish to be the head of the snake and really bought in on that leadership role.
But this play on the MIP is really messing Spurs chances on improving in the draft.
