nah, you can subs ute out every black character for a white one and it still wouldn’t change their critical or financial fortunes.

The acting sucks. The scripts suck. The characters are boring AF. The dialogue…well, it’s actually hilarious if you’re watching from an MST3K perspective.

Put a straight dude born before 1990 (white, black, Asian, whatever) as the head of Lucasfilm, and the problem will be solved.

It does ruin suspension of disbelief when the cast is like just a pastiche of minorities, fats, girlbosses, etc like they are market correcting for the original movies all being normal sized honkies and male jedis
