Like Sochan is put on Harden specifically for his defensive prowess and by definition does not need you to help over that's the whole point. He locks Harden so the rest of you can stay home mostly and it's a competent defense. Your're literally ripping holes in what could be a respectable defense.
Part of me thinks Mitch/Pop is telling them to do this. Like some stupid analytical theory where "threes are statistically less likely to fall so let's dare them to launch and see if we wind up winning in the end" but I'm sure I'm missing something.
