    fox starting

Never in doubt tbh. Let's see if Mitch has the stones to bench CP3 like he should

    fox starting

Fox starting is obvious. But who the rest of the starters?? CP3, Vassell, Sochan and Wemby?
Sochan and Wemby are unplayable together. So one has to start, but which one? I’m hoping Castle still gets plenty of minutes. I don’t want to stun this kid’s development.

    Spurs by 12pts. GSG!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's Wemby

(I know you meant to say Sochan and Castle, John B - I'm just messin' with you)

I dont see an issue and i dont believe cp3 has an issue with coming off the bench…cp3 will still be in the game in crucial 4th qtrs imo

    Id like to see

    Fox
    Castle
    Barnes
    Sochan
    Wemby

vasell - either get used to a bench role or trade his ass

I thought I read somewhere that CP3 is sitting out tonight's game because of a hand/finger situation, in which case, it's a no brainer Fox starts in his place.

They're not gonna bench Vassell. This last half of the season is the most do or die for him tbh.

In theory, his life will get much easier with the addition of Fox. He's got these last 35 games to show that he's a long term fit on this roster. If he doesn't ball out, then he's definitely getting shopped this offseason.

agreed. hes more talented and has a much higher ceiling than julian, i think you have to give him the opportunity this year to find a way to make it work. might not be in the first 10 games or so, but at least the last quarter of the season he's going to have to show out

I'm all for giving Devin and Jeremy a chance to show their worth until the end of the season, but it can't be at Castle's expense.
He's shown more growth over just a few months than they did over years (and years in Devin's case).

Yep, I think you got it right. Have to let him play and see how it goes. He's got a much higher ceiling that Julian. I really think he can do a lot better with Fox now on the team.

CP3's leadership and presence is obviously invaluable, but if he's going to insist on starting, just let him go somewhere else...if there's even a single serious team that would start him.
We can't set back one of our most promising players just because of a 40 year old. Not after we acquired an all-star point guard.

And CP3's style doesn't really fit this roster that wants to run instead of playing it slow.

    Nobody should be surprised tbh.

Frankly, Castle needs to be able to contribute coming off the bench. He'll be an entrenched starter starting next season at least.

Fox avg 25 ppg in his last 3 seasons and San Antonio Spurs have not had a guard average 25 ppg since Ice Man George Gervin per ESPN

Either Fox or CP3 has to be on the floor for the sake of consistent offense. Gonna be interesting to see how Mitch staggers their minutes with both of them starting.
