    Lol...the hate is strong...

If Kawhi don't leave, we don't have Wemby.

    Trust God's plan. He's a Spurs fan.
Once a traitor always traitor.. he will not end up well..

My naive wish is more about the media narrative changing to acknowledge the Spurs were right about his knee diagnosis, and that Kawhi and his poor behavior since he ed over the Spurs has resulted in a karmic backlash that will rightfully make him miserable for several reincarnatios. Or something like that.

He grew up in a ty neighborhood, is almost certainly on the spectrum, and his father was murdered. In retrospect, it's not all that difficult to see why he didn't enjoyed getting yelled at by a short-tempered coach with a military background. Time to move on.
Man, good points. Not everyone is of Tim's mental capacity to accept Pop's coaching style on a day in day out basis.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'll always have an appreciation for Kawhi, and if there was an alternate universe where he came back to the spurs, I would welcome him back with open arms. Spurs fans are definitely spoiled and take for granted what it takes to get a chip. I mean look at what lebron did to cleveland, ended up winning them one, and he will be forever memorialized there for the better. No question without Kwahi spurs would not have won in 14. That deserves some cache and grace.

With that being said, I hate LA even more, so NO, not rooting for him to win.

I don't hate Kawhi anymore. It was long time ago.

Plus, he left due to valid reason: different opinion with Spurs' medical team. Later on, it proved that Kawhi was correct. He does need frequent load management.

For now, I enjoy watching him playing great basketball and hope he lasts long this time.

But he won a le with Toronto. He made a good choice for him.

It's a business at the end of the day.
That doesn't mean we have to root for him...?

What kind of bull logic is that? Yes, it's a business, and he was selfish as quitting and hiding. He had the right to do so, and we have the right to resent him for it.

I've got no lingering ill-will towards Kawhi, and if not for his inability to stay healthy I'd actually be happy to bring him back to the Spurs.

I find people who hold a deep seated grudge to be hilarious, in a sad way.

With that said, he should still be booed every time he touches the ball here, because that's what you should do to opposing players you have a history with. Like... Dereck Fisher should have been booed the same way forever in San Antonio after 0.4
    Agree with Scott on this!

Reminded me that the main thing about the entire thing and why I still despise him is because ESPN was sucking him of the entire time from his hiding to him winning a le with the raptors because they thought he’d be going to the lakers. ESPN was hyping him up immensely and too every chance to justify his unjustifiable position while just throwing the spurs organization under the bus.

It was the opposite. The spurs told him and his posse that his injury will not go away and just has to be managed. He disagreed. He didn’t want that answer because it would cost him money so he found some quack doctor who agreed with him. Also, he wanted to do nothing but go back to LA. Winning a le with the raptors wasn’t enough because his mind was set in 2016 or 2017.

him. Not only did he us on the way out. He also forced Clippers to gift SGA to Thunder along a metric ton of picks for Pandemic P.

And now we gonna have to deal with a powerhouse OKC team during Wemby era.
Darn. No one ever thinks of this angle. You're 100% right.

I'm over it, because I rather have Wemby now than all those years of injured Kawhi.

That said, I really like Joker, thus I'm for Denver now. But going forward, I'd prefer the Clippers to advance to the finals (even though I really don't like Harden).

Everyone had a shot at Jokic... I mean you act like you would rather have him over Kyle Anderson...

I’m not mad at Kawhi leaving SAS because it led us to be in a position to get Wemby, a generational talent.
    Not mad at all

BUT we should stop pretending Pop and the Spurs are the classiest and best organization in sports.

Pop spied on Vernon Maxwell FFS

Timmy, Pop and Parker were “coachable” because they were a bunch of yes men tbh.

Not everybody fits the Spurs’ military culture.

Kawhi had enough of Pop’s bull and I don’t blame him.

So what if Kawhi went to NY to get a 2nd opinion?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that

He also had enough of that twerp Parker who thought he was a doctor
