    They do not.

They do not want to bring the Mavs to Vegas.

They want to bring Vegas to the Mavs, in a manner of speaking.
why mess around with the Mavericks when Lebron after he retires brings an expansion team alongside Seattle?

The Spurs will be back in the east with the next expansion.

Or a couple other current western teams.

    Problem solved.
Memphis and Minnesota going east solves some problems.

Realistically the team in danger of moving out of state in the next five years is actually the Spurs, although the odds are very low.

The Mavericks already have the land for their new arena plus potentially a lot more. It seems like they could go it mostly alone for financing but it would go a whole lot easier if they could stick a casino next to it.

Mavericks are looking for a new arena as well? The AAC is pretty nice and in a great location, that kind of surprises me, but I was also surprised when they build a new stadium for the Rangers, so I guess stadiums just have a short lifespan these days

They can probably make more money with an arena they own and don't have to share with the Stars, but again it's supposed to be one of the attractions in a gambling resort.

Kind of off topic, but honestly the Mavs would be a great spot for CP3 to land lol he’d get to start and play meaningful ball for a probable playoff team

I said the same thing a day or two ago. Having said that, I'd rather he didn't go there as they're a rival of the Spurs. Don't really want him giving any information on what our players strengths and weaknesses are.
