Am I supposed to like USC?? I went to UCLA.
And, well, Vince Young throws like a girl.![]()
i disagree. i think it is more "in" to hate usc now than cheer for them. whether i am in california or texas, i meet a ton of people who don't like usc.
but, as usual with winning la teams, there are alot of hollywood types on the usc wagon... but a good number of them went to sc or have strong connections. the others, well there's nothing anyone can do... unless the lakers start winning again...ha...
Am I supposed to like USC?? I went to UCLA.
And, well, Vince Young throws like a girl.![]()
haven't seen too many girls throw 29 touchdowns and complete 69% of their passes. If there is one then that's one badass .
You're just pissed that USC has owned Notre Dame recently. , Notre Dame barely escaped with a victory over STANFORD.![]()
Thanx for proving my point though. Most people on this forum are just too young, or too ignorant to know anything about Pac-10 football. But that doesn't stop them from pretending. And it's always a bunch of half-assed opinions with nothing of real substance to back it up.
That's ok though. USC is gonna be doing the talking for Pac 10 come January 4th. And after they've claimed yet another NCAA Championship for the Conference, the ignorant ones will be left with nothing but their half-assed opinions.
Sorry, it was a joke. timvp once said in this forum that Vince Young throws like a girl (just for reaction) and then the UT fans went crazy about it for days without timvp or I even realize what an uproar it had caused. We came back to the thread a week later and people were still going crazy.
Man, I don't know about this game. I still have memories of that damn fumble in the 83 Cotton Bowl against ing Georgia that cost us a NC. This game has just got my guts in a damn knot, not sure how objective I can really be about the outcome. But, I'll go with my gut on this one and a final score of:
UT- 38
USC- 24
i was joking too.![]()
I don't call this year's game between USC & ND where USC owned ND. USC got lucky to win that game against Notre Dame with that fumble by Leinart out of bounds. How much more luck can you get? You can't.
kori didnt even know there was a college thread until cbf and I started posting
much like
nobody had ever even heard of Argetina until ginobili came to the spurs
-tpark
and
before the geto boys came around, you cant front on their clout, h-town was no-town
bushwick bill
True, USC finally caught a break to win it at the end. But the game shouldn't have even been that close to begin with. Because just like in the good ol' days, Notre Dame was the beneficiary of one-sided officiating for most of the day. Like the fumble play where half the players on the field were pushing and shoving each other, but only the USC player got called for the personal foul. Or the Notre Dame punt return for a TD that started off with an illegal block in the back RIGHT IN FRONT OF A REF who just stood there and watched it happen. Or the entire first half when the disparity in penalties was something like 15-2. I counted 6 holding penalties on Notre Dame before the refs finally decided to call one of them. Granted, you can argue that holding happens on just about every play. But if you're going to nit-pick one team with holding penaties, at least be fair and do the same with the other team.
Talk about luck all you like, but I'm thoroughly convinced that USC would have won that game by at least 2 touchdowns had it not been for bad officiating.
so bad that their heisman QB had to pull off a game saving fumble
USC 100
Texas 0
Reggie Bush: 1000 yards rushing, gets the "im a golden god" Award
Matt Leinhart: 50/50 2000 yards passing. gets the "greatest QB ever!!" Award
lol. i dont care if youre trying to be funny or not or who youre going for but you literllly made me laugh out loud.![]()
*sigh* let me go to brewski aka CHODE not CHOAD, and show him his path of errors he just left.
this was yoru response to some one saying the big 12 was weak, so youre bsically agreeing with him.
then...you say this....
then you try to say that usc owned ND and also try to pull the age card.lame on both attemps. i dont care how old i am. i know when a team doesnt dominate another one and neither team dominated the other in this game. and as a former linemen, albeit hs, holding does happen on nearly every play. but theres also a set rule for waht is holding. i believe as long as its within your shoulder width area then its not a penalty. plus if refs called every single penalty a football game would look like a basketball game. and finaly you get offended/mad when someone correctts your mistakes. the big 12 isnot a weak conference and jsut bc usc is a good, or great depending on how you look at it, team doesnt make a whole conference good. lets see...they have arizona, arizona state, stanford, cal, oregon, oregon state, ucla, washington and washington state.
all powerhouse football teams

so true
dude your lack of punctuation is getting ridiculoso. Skinny up your fingers or something
officiating = weakest sports argument EVERTalk about luck all you like, but I'm thoroughly convinced that USC would have won that game by at least 2 touchdowns had it not been for bad officiating.
Pwnt.so bad that their heisman QB had to pull off a game saving fumble
I stopped reading there.
I'm guessing sentence comprehension isn't one of your strong points. Nobody called the Big 12 "weak". If they had, I sure as wouldn't agree with them. I realize that your IQ is still at the Happy Meal level, but please try to keep up.
Sorry, but I didn't read the rest of your babble. I'm sure it had something to with "chode" though.![]()
That's very true in most cases. But I Tivo'd that game, and watched a lot of it a second time just to make sure the officiating wasn't as atrocious as I first thought. The replays only confirmed it.
Look, I understand why Longhorn fans have rooted against USC all year. I wouldn't want to play them either. But I challenge anyone to find a way to watch that game again and tell me that the refs weren't one-sided for most of the game. You can't do it.
yes, it was lucky that leinart fumbled the ball out of bounds... but he landed in the endzone right after... so who knows, had he held on to the ball it could have been a touchdown right there...
No, rooting against USC doesn't mean I did not want my team to play them. I don't fear USC and I believe in the phrase "in order to be the best you have to beat the best"
Plus there are always people like you and tlongII who would still give the longhorns (a la asterisk spurs es) if USC had lost a game and they ended up playing Virginia Tech or some bull .
Whatchyoutalkinbout Willis? I love the *Spurs!
Gets a Spur? But I dont have any boots. They should come with it!
USC 58
Texas 28
Thus far the results:
16 pick Texas
13 pick USC
Interesting note: The people who have chosen Texas have, on average, 208 TIMES the vbookie dollars as those who chose (choas?) USC.
Hopefully they will bet 208 TIMES as many vbookie dollars on Texas to win the Rose Bowl.
