When I first read this, I had no friggin idea what Uggs were.
Now I'm wrapping gifts (bought with the help of a woman) for my nieces and realize that one of them is an Ugg purse.
All I can say is the name fits.

The purses are worse than the boots, believe me. They are by far the ugliest purses I've seen in my life, and would not carry one if I was paid to do it.
Funny thing is, I've been wearing Uggs for over 20 years. Picked some up in a surf store in Bell's Beach (Australia) when the family thought we might move there. They were originally developed for surfers who came out of the cold water. Now all these Hollywood types are driving the price up (used to be able to get them for under $30) because they're "stylish". Footnote: When Pat Magee's was in North Star, I could get them there.

Well, somebody must be buying them. And Liz assured me it was a great purse (one of those purse/backpack thingys).
How old is she? The novelty of it being "Ugg" will still probably be a big thrill...I'm just a snob, I'll admit it. I stick to my Helen Welsh and Cole Haan handbags...
She's 12. I was advised to get her either that one or a "Juicy Couture" purse. WTF, there is an entire universe out there I know nothing about using a language which only partially resembles English.
Lol, Juicy Couture would likely be a LOT more expensive than the Ugg purses, so you made a wise choice, especially since she's 12. I think it'll be a hit.

Yeah, they've been around for a long time. A friend of mine had some in the late '80s, early '90s.
