No. But I don't have much use for political/religious music. And having googled the lyrics, I don't see a mention of "the D" in the song.

I was just objecting to the notion that
There is one D that can be called "THE D", and it is NOT Detroit.
Both cities can be called "the D". I doubt anyone would confuse the two.

Both cities can be called "the D".
A common misconception. The truth is that although Detroit is the one ad only "D", dallas is often called "the d"; largely due to their perennial bridesmaid status come June.

Ahem..."the D"? There is one D that can be called "THE D", and it is NOT Detroit.

    That is all.

Detroit is called "The D." Dallas is called "Big D."

Boutons you got the truth with that. Just go downtown Denver and then look at Detroit and you can compare what a city should be and what the worse case is.

Most people (including Spurs fans) hate the Spurs announcer.
actually only the childish ones that prefer flash over substance dont appreciate Stan Kelly. I guess since the Spurs still employ Stan the childish opinions on this forum dont mean jack to the Spurs. As a long time Spurs fan and season ticket holder I dont want the announcer trying to be as important as the team. The Detroit announcer is just as lame to many Spurs fans (most of whom dont have time to waste on this board). Its nice to know the Spurs organization doesnt pander to the newer (bandwagon) fans and still honors loyality.

This is still America so it is nice that people have the right to choose what they like. But it is childish to say "I hate that guys cause he doesnt sound like that other guy". That is just so middle school. Grow up people.

Have you heard the Spurs announcer? Mason is known as the best in the bussiness. Your guy is amongst the worst. Even the biggest Spurs homer can see that.
I kinda agree. Stan Kelly is OK, but I sure do miss Pat Tallman. Hard to believe he has been gone 14 years.

Given that Detroit is 150 years older than Dallas, and the metro Detroit area is bigger than the DFW metroplex, I'm not sure you have any basis for that opinion. Detroit was called "the D" when I left Michigan in the late '70s, and apparently it's still called the D. So shove it, Texan.
Sorry. According to the 2000 Census, the Detroit, Ann Arbor-Flint region had 5,456,428 people while the Dallas-Ft. Worth metro area had 5,221,801. By now the DFW area has more people than the Detroit metro area according to the 2004 American Community survey. DFW stands at 5,676,551 while Detroit has 5,437,277.

Well, you counted the American white people, but not your Canadian neighbors to the south. According to Wikipedia, there are 300,000 more people in the Windsor area, which is enough to make up the difference.

i'm pretty sure spurs fans treated kid rock like crap when he was at game 7 of the finals.

but big props to Eva when she grabbed her spurs championship pendant and started to show it to the camera

Funny how all these Pistons posters haven't addressed her reaction....
