Aww and Saving Silverman... some sweet memories come up when I think of that movie.![]()
Meh, Clerks II was a major letdown. It seemed like Mr. Smith went for the easy laugh this time around. The dialogue was much, much better in the original i.e. subcontractors who needlessly died building the Death Star.
The problem with most of these new comedies is that they are only funny in spurts or for half of the movie.

Election is a very underrated comedy.
As for all-time, two movies that made my sides ache and are top 5 are It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and History of the World: Part 1.
Well, I picked clerks II for two moments that are comedic history.
1. Making the LOTR fan throw up after a beautiful tirade by 3 fantasy nerds.
2. Jay doing the Buffalo Bill dance. I literally cried laughing, it was beautifully disgusting.
Shaun of the Dead deserves mention.
See, that's what I'm talking about. The dialogue should have been much better than what turned out to be a rehash of "you know how I know you're gay?" bit. Maybe I expect a little more from KS.
Would you me? I'd me. ... definitely the best part of the movie.
It was lacking...but I believe that just because those two parts are historically funny and brilliant, that it leaves this movie as a top 5 comedy over the last few years.
It is kind of like the Diamondbacks team from a few years ago....they just had Randy and Schilling, but those two are so great that they were a world series team.
