    gnob is not a pg. he can run it for spells but it would take away a lot of his offensive freedom. bad idea
    I don't think so! Parker has free reign to do whatever. Manu will have the same! Manu in my opinion is a true point guard. He has unbelievable vision of the court, and makes better passes than Parker and is a finisher at the rim. Defenses have a hard time guarding him. He can hit the three, and get to the foul line anytime he wants.

    go ahead and quote me then.

    i simply cannot remember saying artest played good against the pistons last year. but if the pistons were trying to STOP artest...doesn't that tell you something? who was on him? i didn't watch the series...POOH...i'm callin you OUT from hiding. Your the resident Pacer expert...a lil help.

    But Imagine...

    Manu=pg
    Bruce=sg
    Artest=sf
    TD=pf
    Nazr=c

    Malik, Horry, Oberto
    Barry, Van Exel, Finley,

    all off the bench.

    That's a le dude. Multiple les.

    Detroit goes down in 6 games instead of us waiting til the 4th quarter of game 7.
    2 things the pistons are a whole lot better this year than last year, and artest is crazy. he doesn't even concentrate on winning games.

    I agree that Paker will be shutdown in the playoffs, especially vs. Detroit. But getting Artest is not the answer. We have all the ingredients needed for a championship already. We just need a fine tuning.

    Stop suggesting changes, they're silly and won't happen.
    Getting Artest, one of the best, if not the best perimeter defender in the league is not the answer against Detroit??? Dude, if all we have to do to get the guy is give up BENCH players to get him I call that fine tuning and is the missing ingredient against a Detroit team that has three excellent perimeter players who can get to the basket at will against the Spurs. Remember, those two 15 point loses exposed the Spurs weakness against Detroit. Artest would guard Prince, Bowen on Billups, and Manu on Hamilton = locked down!
    Then the reverse would apply for Detroit to try to stop Artest, Manu, Bowen =
    Spurs in six at worst. Duncan + Nazr > Wallace + Wallace.

    All the dude needs is his medication, and a good coach to teach him how to cope. Pop wears many hats! He already said he wouldnn't mind playing along side Duncan! So we'll see what happens.

    parker has freedom when he has the ball, but he isn't used to moving without the ball to get open like gnob. gnob would lose that type of freedom having to bring the ball up the court every time. bigzak just doesn't like parker and wants him traded. barry would be better suited to running point for long stretches in this stupid line of thinking because he has done it before.

    If we have to give up Parker, a top 10 PG for a NUT like Artest???? Artest comes with a lot of baggage, and I could bet real money that he will be suspended again sooner or later.

    Forget Artest the NUT, give it up. or become a Pacer fan

    the guys a lunatic, you wouldn't want him. the guy doesn't put little effort into winning. this is another example of something that looks good on paper, but it wouldn't work out.

    I love tony parker. He just cannot be counted on in the BIG games. That's all.

    and Since Manu and TD can? sure, i'd like to improve our DEFENSE if possible. Defense IS what wins championships after all. And it's not like Ron can't score.

    Artest is going to be traded for a player and a first round pick. Indiana is just waiting to see which teams are going to be lottery bound so they can get more bang for their trade.

    Did you watch Parker last night ZipZak?

    Dude is the only reason the Spurs are in first place in their division.

    He might just be the real future...

    Now run along to the Club.

    Pacers are thinking of just letting him go. Why not get rid of dead weight. Artest not into winning?? Where is that written? The Spurs are in need of someone with a little edge. Pop almost called them Soft last week. I would take Artest and put his ass on a short leash, and win championships. He has all the talent and what's missing on this team! Dude can turn around. Why are so many of you not wanting this guy baffels me.
    Put in his contact behavior clauses and it's a done deal!

    I saw a PG who the defense denied letting in the paint, so he put his energy into playing great defense on Rip Hamilton and others.

    Id love to know who the point guard is in 2 to 3 years, cause Ginobili is NOT a 30 minute a game PG.

    So can Tony.Well, he didn't do that against the Pistons either. Go figure.

    Don't pretend Indy had a bad team two seasons ago. I can't believe you want to trade a guy who is making NBA history before your eyes for a guy who misses huge chunks of the season for no other reason than being insane.
    agreed, indy gave ron so many chances he blew it every time. all he'll do is mess up for the spurs and then you'll see.
