i could see how a laker fan wouldn't be too optimisic about thier playoff chances. he had to score 80 for them to beat the raps. great performance though.

All of this scoring by Kobe is only going to lead to us going out in the first round in the playoffs. Lamar Odom finishes with 8 phucking points....Not good at all.
But he did had 10 rebounds and 7 assists.

But on the bright side, some people did not think the Lakers had a chance at the playoffs a few months ago.

Imagine watching that live and in person. It's almost like every shot he takes is going in. I think he made like 7 straight jumpers in the 3rd quarter. Amazing.

That's where the Lakers were going anyways. W/ Kobe scoring the way he is, you may actually have a chance to get an upset in the 1st round.

Imagine watching that live and in person.
It may or may not be,

something of a "where were you when Kobe Bryant scored the first 81 point game in the history of the league"

No one has EVER scored 80!!

No one other than WILT has broken 74 I believe.

    Wow.

Thats what puts it into perspective.

Wilt got those points, by being almost half a foot taller than his compe ion.

Kobe Bryant is a 6'7 shooting guard.

    Can you say MVP???
scoring 81 pretty much puts him in front ahead of guys like Nash and Billups.

Tough right now to say whos MVP.

NASH IMO had the lead prior to tonight.

Hey, I'm not knocking a great performance. But the fact remains that this has been an ongoing trend for the past several weeks, where the rest of the team basically stands around, while Kobe jacks up shot after shot.

That is not going to help the team in the long run, and they're not going to win a championship any time in the near future with this bull . I don't mind a out of mind performance once in a while, but going with this style every game???

And how in the heck do we find out how good Odom can be for us getting 8 points in one game? I just don't like where the Laker franchise is heading with this.

Trust me, Phil is NOT happy with this, although getting a win is nice.

With no one in the west having a SF who is as good a defender as Bruce Bowen, who could "limit" Bryant. I would say Bryant COULD win a best of 5 series himself.

    Best of 7??
Damn, thats just almost too much to ask.

    28 of 46.

    Shot 60%!!!

Could you now argue, is Kobe Bryant, the best player, to EVER, wear a Laker uniform??

    Better than Magic?

    West?

    Baylor?
