USC vs Oregon St

I was thinking about putting money on USC but decided not to since it was at Oregon St and they had been doin pretty good as of late.

the game was moved so that espn could broadcast it nationally. more money for the schools.



personally, i wouldn't care if you stole a flag from us. i think far worse things have happened. has no one ever stolen a flag before? anyway, this won't be the first time that the sec has been pissed off at usc before a road game. same thing when we went to auburn a few years back after we beat them here. i don't think it will turn out like that game did though. and i don't think it will be anything near last year's game.

I'll go into more detail.

-As the players headed into the tunnel at halftime, several Arkansas players had to change jerseys because cups of whatever beer or coke I don't know which was hurled at our players and coaching staff. A total of 13 players were soaked and some didn't have jerseys to change into as our equipment manager failed to bring along extra uni's for some. A total of 7 fans were removed from the stadium.

-At halftime the game was well in hand. And Pete Carroll told Houston Nutt that he was planning on starting his 2nd and 3rd team to begin the 2nd half. Not only did he not start them, he ran up the score. (Which is fine, it's a game, the point is to score as many as you can.) But it's lying that pissed Houston Nutt off.

-The flag was not only stolen, but the pep band that had their flag stolen from, the flagman was not only jumped, but ended up with a broken nose and required 7 s ches on his face as he tried to defend his flag. Security also removed 4 fans that were caught doing this as the flag was already moving through the stands.

I could go on but you get the point. Every Sunday night our Razorback channel has a one hour show. And for the whole hour that weekend they showed nothing but video from the game of Nickolas White (the flagman) getting his ass kicked, and the players getting slammed with drinks as well as the coaches for several minutes as they had to start running into the tunnel. One coach for Arkansas was so lit you could see him standing and screaming at some fans, and you could see about 20 fans leaned over the rails spitting and throwing debree at him.

I understand sometimes this happens. But that is a total lack of respect. Especially when all of it was caught on tape. The collection of events was mailed to Frank Broyals then mailed to USC asking for an apolygy in which they never got a reply.

There's a certain level of sportmanship that needs to be maintained. USC failed. There is also a certain level of respect and sincere apolygy that should be given. USC failed that as well. They didn't say a word.

And I know it looks like I am whining, but I am not. I'm just replying with detail to the subject. And honestly it really don't piss me off that much. But SEC fans are lit as about this, especially Auburn and Arkansas.

It's a lot deeper than stealing a flag.

okay, that sucks. i'm sorry. stuff like this happens at pretty much every school. i bet you can find a similar incident at alot of the other sec schools. still i wish it hadn't happened at my school as you said it did. but when there's 93,000 people there's bound to be a bad apple or two... especially in the student section at the first night night game. i am assuming that students stole the flag. i don't know about the drinks though. beer isn't sold at the stadium anymore, and i don't know who would throw $7 cokes. if they were getting them thrown at them on the sideline, then that's weird because all those seats are mainly for the rich, old people who sit for alot of the game. and i also find it hard to believe that it was when they were going into the tunnel. i sit in the herd 5 seats from the tunnel, and i have never seen anything fly by. and even though you think usc doesn't respect anyone, i know the herd doesn't allow anyone to yell at opposing players after the game (only clapping allowed).

I understand. Like I said I didn't take it personally. It just showed lack of everything when your school didn't event comment about it.

And yes SEC schools are ing NASTY. Even worse than what USC did. Arkansas is a good school though. We generally don't hate unless you're the Vols. But don't be suprised if the same happens in Sept. to you guys. On Hogville forums they even have a student plan set up to steal your flag, beat the out of your mascot and so forth. I hope it doesn't happen as several of the members were banned. But about 250 students claim they have finalized this plan and even had meetings to discuss how to carry it out and you better believe Arkansas security and officials won't stop it.

Again I hope it don't happen cause it'd only make us an ass just like your fans were. But, I'm guessing it will. We'll see.

And trust me I know USC has many classy fans. After all that in the tunnel happend and was on video about 100 USC fans registered and was apolygizing and so forth. We know you got mostly cool ass fans so that's why I'm not beefing about it.

I'd own him with Basketball powerhouse stats. We got equal past history in football though, talking about 40s-70s. Arkansas used to just own back then. We eat since though.

But he'd be like "how many football championships you got?" ... just one... OWNED. Ouch. Okay.

well yes, but he pretty much stays on the horse. so it's a 2 for 1 deal.

there is a guy in a mascot suit that runs around at the basketball games. but he is weird looking. and kinda annoying.

obviously our basketball team is far from good and we have played alot of not so good teams this year... but give us a little break. last year was probably the worst disaster with bibby getting fired and the seniors not giving any effort. we have already won more games this year than last... and we upset north carolina. i don't think we will ever be great in basketball, but we could become a decent team after floyd has a few recruiting years. it should help that the new arena will be ready for next season.

USC will be great in basketball, in a few years.
and USC was a great basketball school pre-UCLA wooden era. It produced guys like Sharman..etc..
