That would put a black mark on free agency for us.
Don't worry, Angel. Rumor has It that they are going to get rid of someone who used to be with Denver.![]()

Playoff roster is how long?
I still do not know who should go on inactive players list.
NVE is so ...different that he should be useful when other guys fail to concentrate. NVE SHOULD stay with the Spurs. But Beno seems to be more capable to cover TP's behind on regular season's nights.
What do you think?
It's 12 players, Marks should go on the inactive list.
If Spurs don't make move, the playoff roster will be : Parker, NVE, Udrih, Manu, Barry, Bowen, Finley, Duncan, Horry, Oberto, Rasho and Nazr.
My point of view :
The more likely player to be traded before the deadline are Barry and Nazr.
Rasho, Beno and oberto can too be traded.
Duncan, Parker, Manu, Bowen, Finley, NVE, Horry and Marks won't be traded.
But we never know with CIA Pop.
[QUOTE=PM5K]Either way I'm not totally satisfied with our center position and I don't think the Spurs should be either, from a production standpoint and from a contract standpoint.[QUOTE]
My thoughts exactly, and you said it the best possible way. The frustrating thing is that the abilities one of them is good at, the other SUCKS at. There is NO way Pop is happy with the center position, our offense and defense sways too much when they are subs uted with each other.
I know I will get hammered for thinking this way, but one of our weakest links is our offense, and having two starters that are offensive liabilities could wind up hurting us against Detroit. OK, I know Bowen leads or is among the lead leaders in 3 point %, and has improved his offensive game, he is averaging 7 points a game, but his scoring will go down in the playoffs, and I am ok with that, the problem is having a second liability in Rasho who gets 4 points in the first minute of the game and then goes 0-fer the rest of the game.
You don't need much scoring from the 5 spot in the Spurs offense, but you do need offensive rebounding and a presence in the paint.
I think each team is limited to 78 feet total when players are laid end to end. This means Marks will have to be inactive since he is too tall.
How about Rasho for the Sixers' 7m trade exception?
you think 3rd string pg is more important than another big? (6 more fouls...)
Throw in a 2nd rounder and a Dr. J autograph and you have yourself a deal.
Yes. We played last season with 5 bigs, the only guy against who a 6th big can be usefull is a Shaq in good shape : he isn't in good shape and if we reach the final, Detroit will likely be our opponent.
NVE has randomly some troubles with his elbow. If it happens during playoff we won't have any backup PG. Manu can play PG ( like against Detroit last year) but it's not a great solution when you have only 4 swingmen.
Evans is a PF
Yeah we got 2 2nd rounders from New Orleans anyway. Too bad they won't do it though.
Also Evans also only makes $1.1M.
Is this SUCKS in the Korean sense?
For Evans to be a Spur it would take something like Marks plus a 2nd rounder or Beno as well as the Spurs to be willing to not pare down salary.
I hope we trade for Richard Jefferson.
I like Richard Jefferson but who would you trade for him?
I don't like Jefferson at his price. I'm also not sure we'd be willing to part with anything Jersey likes.
The Spurs worked out Ime Udoka and Luke Schenscher recently. Udoka was a no-brainer since Manu was out, but Schenscher is a center -- not going to help anyone this year but interesting nonetheless. I wonder if Aaron Miles was with the Flyers yet when we worked them out.
Link.
I also hope that RC at least cast an eye at James Lang when he was here. He's producing really well since he took Pape Sow's place in Arkansas. I shudder to think what he could do with his athleticism if he were 20 pounds lighter. He's only 22, in think there's time for him to really get it together.
all i got to say is we might want to think about trading brent barry for someone who is more consistant from the outside. as for trading nazi mohammed i think it would be a bad idea. he is a good big man to have on the squad. he can score when you PLAY him.

you hit this one on the head!!!!!!! but i would keep mohammed because he can get some points and some boards.........
For my peace of mind, this post is the last time I am going to talk about spurs trades till
(God forbid) one happens.
I hope we make it through the deadline with everyone in tact, but the following is my list of keepers in order of priority.
I purposely excluded Timmy, Gino, and Tony because there is no way they are getting traded.
From number three on, I tried to factor in basketball implications along with my personal feelings.
1)Rasho Nesterovic
2)Beno Udrih
3)Robert Horry
4)Bruce Bowen
5)Brent Barry
6)Sean Marks
7)Nick Van Exel
8)Fabricio Oberto
9)Michael Finley
10)Melvin Sanders
11)Nazr Mohammed
We should trade for Zaza Pachulia.
