    Dontrelle Willis will start Monday night when Team USA faces South Korea, and Roger Clemens is scheduled to pitch Thursday for the Americans against Mexico.

    The WBC semifinals will be played Saturday in San Diego, where the winners will meet for the championship of the inaugural Classic two days later.
    Willis SHOULD bounce back from the horrible game against Canada. Clemens will own Mexico.

    Man this shyt is rigged. The US has a cupcake division. Tha D.R. has to go against Puerto Rico (in Puerto Rico), Cuba and Venezuela. The US has Japan, Korea and Mexico. Korea and Mexico shouldn't even have been invited.

    The USA was gift-wrapped their game over Japan. They called a Japanese player out for leaving 3rd base too early on a sac fly when it was obvious he didn't.

    The worst part is even if the guy had left a full second later it wouldn't have mattered because the throw was off line. It's bush league of the manager to protest the call, and it's sickening that they called the guy out, because it clearly was, if nothing else, not blatant enough to overturn. It's too bad that we have to cheat to win. It's hard to bad mouth other countries for doing it when it looks like we're going to start doing it too.

    The WBC is good stuff. I agree with timvp on the winner of Venezuela vs DR winning it all. Venezuela has lights out pitching and DR has great hitting.

    I want the USA to win but if they can't, I hope its the DR. If for no other reason, Big Papi's "toss the bat and stare down the Cubans" move when he hit that monster shot. That was awesome!

    I don't think the USA will make the final and they might not make it out of this round. Korea and Japan are both better than the USA in my opinion.
