what ever happen to expistons championship basketball? more like one hit wonders to me
Well if Dallas's problem is back to back games than the playoffs would be perfect for them.

There were some weird minutes going around for the Pistons. Ben Wallace, who was playing great, didn't even play 10 minutes this game. But Tayshaun Prince, who continues his terrible shooting slump, played 34 minutes. ?? Strange. Ben tends to get tired on road trips, I guess Flip is just making sure he doesn't burn himself out. But I still don't get why Tayshaun played 34 minutes.
We've had some lucky wins ourselves, like when Luther Head missed that wide open three at the Buzzer vs. Houston.![]()
Those numbers are way off. You gotta wait for the boxscore the update. NBA.com is real slow with that.
Man I was gonna say, 8 points and 14 boards in 10 minutes? Flip not playing him more wouldve seemed that much more INSANE.![]()
Okay, because that didn't make any sense.
Ben played like 37 mins according to the ESPN boxscore.
Looks like the Pistons are a 5 man team. This team reminds me a lot like the 2002-03 mavs.
That makes way more sense. I only watched the very beginning and end of the game, so I was like WTF when I saw that on NBA.com. But my point about Tayshaun still stands... I hope his shots start falling soon.![]()
one of the 3's kmart hit was suppose to be a turnover he shot and got his own rebound the ball came off glass didn't hit rim and then after rebound he shoot a 3 point damn lol
No, we're a 4 man team. Tayshaun blows....![]()
...and actually I like our bench. They just need to play more. Lindsey, Dice, Delfino, Evans, and Dale have been a huge boost lately. Plus we've got Delk coming into play now. Unfortunately, they didn't get much of a chance tonight. One thing is for certain, the bench is about 50X better than last year.
That's not a turnover...
was pistons ball. just saw replay it was airball from one side to other.
BTW, Ruben is going to be huge for them. That guy lays it all out on the court. He is the reason that team had so much energy. He defended Rip as well as I've seen anyone (right up there with Bowen), and he was diving for every loose ball within a mile radius.
I wish we could see more of Dale. Lindsey brings defensive energy and when Dale comes in he always snatches down some good rebounds.
Ruben Patterson and Reggie Evans were excellent pickups for their team. If they can stay healthy next season I can see them doing really well.
Nuggets played lights out. They were terrific. They had a lot of energy and were outjumping the Pistons all night long. Denver was simply amazing. The Pistons didn't play great, but tonight's game was more a case of Denver just being the much better team.
Great win for Denver.
I can't wait till the Pistons play the Mavs again. Reality Check time.
I know we've covered this in other threads but trust or no trust you still gotta put your bench on the floor during the regular season. I'm anxious to see how the playoffs go for the Pistons if they finish the season with the starting 5 on the court as much as they are. I've said it before that their training staff deserves a lot of credit for their sustained play.
To Flip's credit, it has been better lately. He has been going 10 deep everynight, no matter how close the game is. Throwing Dice/Hunter/Evans/Delfino/Davis out there for extended periods of time. Tonight they was a bit different. They went 9 deep, but Dice was struggling with his shot, and for some reason Delfino/Evans didn't get a ton of minutes.
Yeah I noticed that Evans got only 6 mins. I didn't see the game but I thought he would have been a good option against a team like the Nuggets. And whats the deal with the technicals lately in Detroit?
