On another V-Bulletin board, there's a set up called "Stealth" mode that allows a troll to post, but makes said posts invisible to everyone.
Kind of like the ignore function, but for everyone.
After a while, the troll just leaves, because he's not getting the response he's craving.
If "ban me" is bugging you, there's also a function already inplace to put his posts on ignore.

Sounds like a good idea. There is also an ignore function for every member to use.
That's available here, and used when Kori or LJ decide it's proper.
Really, just leave it to them. They know what they are doing.
And yes, feel free to use the ignore function that has been brought up numerous times.
