Spurs lead 57-44.
Spurs are 19-24 from the free throw line.
They also have 13 assists to 5 turnovers.![]()
I hate to say this, but we're getting a lot of calls, and the Hornets are not.
There have been a few times when they should've have gotten a call, but didn't.
I don't want the Spurs to win like that.
Oh, and I can't believe Tony missed that layup!
24 FTs for the Spurs? In ONE HALF? Pinch me ...
the thing is, the refs might want to "equalize" those calls later..
Barry, Beno, Parker, Nazr, Manu, Duncan they all played well, and Rasho brought energy!
on a 11-24 FTAs?There have been a few times when they should've have gotten a call, but didn't.
tp 3-3 from the line. He's at 70% right now for the season.![]()
If only they had vBookies for a half!![]()
he'll be 1st/2nd All-NBA team this season.
Brent Barry-11 pts @ halftime so far.![]()
Yeah, but the calls in the first half are ususally decisive when they all go to one team. (My theory)
I remember when we played the Lakers in the playoffs some years ago and they got a 24-2 edge in fouls in the first half. By the end of the game, the fouls had somewhat evened up--but the point advantage the refs gave the lakers in those first two quarters couldn't be made up by a bunch of non-shooting fouls later on.
When a team gets so far behind, it's hard for them to catch up going uphill.
i get what you mean. what i'm talking about though is those "equalizer" calls may cost a team a game especially if it's a tight one
That three from the rt. wing by Brent to close out the half was right on the hash mark.

I don't know what the stats are, but after watching that half I'm very impressed with our point guards and swingmen. With Barry, Finley and Udrih all coming to life after the all star break, added to the solid core of Parker, Ginobili and Bowen and the Spurs look really strong in those three positions.![]()
Spurs shot 19-24, not 11-24.
I'm guessing not this season but in 2 or 3 yrs.![]()
Pop should have and run a handful of plays that result in this:
7:22 SA - T. Duncan dunks the ball. Assist: T. Parker
Spurs can't detach.
Spurs +12 FT pts
Gawd I hate when SA comes out of the locker room flat in the third quarter ...
5:30 SA - Full timeout (Timeout #3)
5:30 SA - Shooting foul on B. Barry
5:52 NOK - C. Paul steals the ball from T. Parker
6:03 SA - B. Barry enters game for B. Bowen
6:03 NOK - Personal foul on S. Claxton
6:18 NOK - S. Claxton makes a 22-foot three-pointer from the left corner. Assist: C. Paul
6:31 NOK - S. Claxton enters game for K. Snyder
6:31 SA - M. Finley enters game for M. Ginobili
6:31 SA - Personal foul on B. Bowen
6:35 NOK - R. Butler defensive rebound
Spurs lead 62-55.
