Then EXPLAIN to me-- why did Pop in the course of one week- pull Nazr 2 minutes into the third quarter against the Lakers, 20 seconds into the third quarter against NO/OKC, and then start Rasho the second half against Houston?? Pop obviously is STILL not happy with his defense. Nazr had nice games against Phoenix- who does not really play a center- but he got eaten alive by Camby.
...then why don't we simply cut the guy and take our chances with Rasho for the duration of the season.
I'll assume that means you have no real answer. The answer is this: his defense is still a problem against teams with a traditional center. Plain and simple. Depending on who we play will determine how effective he can be. We played the Lakers twice recently and Nazr had ZERO defensive rebounds and 4 offenisve rebounds TOTAL for 2 games. Mihm was scoring easily. IF we play the Lakers in the first round, that's an obvious problem.
My point is how short people's memories are. Three games ago Rasho played great against Yao Ming- better than anyone has at all recently- and against the guy surely to be the most dominant center for the next decade. Rasho played well not only defensively, but scoring in double digits himself. Less than a week later, Rasho is deemed useless. Well, Nazr was useless against Shaq, too. We need them BOTH.
And Rasho came in that same game and did...........what............?
And explain to you what? Rather than rehash worn out arguements like Rasho's spacing and Nazr's late rotations on defense why don't you first explain why Rasho is not starting or why he has not been put back into the starting line up. If we truly need both what's to about? Even many of the Slovenian Rasho fans have given Nazr props.
You're Nazr hate is getting entertaining.
Nazr will lead us to heaven and leave us with Rasho's second bling.
That will be serious conversations between KG and Rasho... Who is better? A guy with two rings or a guy with an regural season' MVP. What a choice...

Nazr is great. I hope he make a good decision where to continue his career. I would go back New York.
