Haven't seen the show, but Arnold is a horrible actor, i think you could tell if he's faking an argument.
funny prank i hope no one bought that.![]()
I guess you pull the pranks on the 31st so some people won't suspect the prank.
haha that was funny
Fake. That weak scuffle gave it away.

STRAHAN-ARNOLD FIGHT AN APRIL FOOL'S GAG
We've heard from several readers regarding a skirmish that broke out Friday on the set of FSN's The Best Mutherf--kin' Sports Show That Nobody Really Watches Anymore So How Do They Still Get "A" List Guests? On the show, Tom Arnold and Michael Strahan get into an argument that culminates in a Srpinger-style wrestling match. After the two are separated, Strahan complains of a shoulder injury.
When we first heard about the incident, we assumed that it was an April Fool's thing. But after watching the video, we're weren't so sure.
Vinny DiTrani of the Bergen Record reports that the stunt was indeed an April Fool's set up. Per DiTrani, coach Tom Coughlin and G.M. Ernie Accorsi were given a head's up earlier in the week regarding the phony fracas.
As it turns out, Arnold is a far better actor than he previously has shown. And Strahan has a future in Hollywood, too. (If, of course, any casting directors are ever looking for an oversized black man with a slight lisp and bad teeth.)

So if you missed Friday night’s episode of The Best Damn Sports Show (and how could you?), check about the above video. Tom Arnold and Michael Strahan get into kind of a little sissy chair fight. And Michael Strahan did not win. He’s on the ground making noises like he’s hurt, cursing at Arnold, who’s just sitting there, being sorta restrained by Rodney Peete. Strahan sounds like he’s in pain. I think Rob Dibble may have actually hurt him.
Now, I have somehow let myself get out of the loop when it comes to the politics and in-fighting on the set of the Best Damn Sports Show. But as a reader tells us, Tom Arnold left the show, he wrote a book published by Harper-Collins, and apparently some guys on the show didn’t like what he had to say in the book, and there was some beef.
And yes, I’m aware of the date on today’s calendar. There’s a very good chance that this was staged. I’ll make the case for both. First, the argument that it was real:
• Tom Arnold is shaking and looks visibly upset before the scuffle.
• I tend to doubt that Chris Rose, Rodney Peete, and Michael Strahan are that have that kind of acting capability. I’ve seen Strahan’s Right Guard commercial.
• The show didn’t come back on the air afterwards.
• Well, it just looks kinda real.
And now, the case that it was staged:
• It was the day before April Fools, and we all know how zany and madcap these guys can be.
• How does Michael Strahan left himself try to fight Tom Arnold? You set the NFL’s single season sack record, and you want a piece of Tom Arnold? Who’s next on your list, Paul from the Wonder Years?
I gotta tell ya, at this point, I’m leaning towards real. And I hope I’m right, because think of all the wonderful trash talk that could emerge from this that could be used against Michael Strahan. If you know any offensive linemen that play in the NFC East, please forward them this clip.
One of the better done April fool's pranks that I've seen. Everyone played their roles well.
I think it would have been even more believable if Strahan had gone after Tom Arnold first.
i don't know, it was way to set up IMO, they were already advertising this on monday and tuesday, they even showed tom talkin, and showed strahan saying i should get up and leave.
all of you are suckers
Finally saw it. That was lame.
Rob Dibble and Chris Rose just talked about the "April Fool's" prank that Tom and Michael pulled. Then Tom came on and they showed a bunch of off-scenes stuff to explain the prank. The book was made up. Tom said he did crack a rib when Rodney got on him and pulled his arm. Rodney, Dibble didn't know. Chris Rose didn't know.
Chris knew it was a joke by Tom but he didn't know Strahan was in on it and he didn't know there was going to be a scuffle. Chris thought it was a real scuffle.
Strahan thought everyone knew and thought the other guys really were doing a good job of acting.
That was pretty cool. Michael said all his friends were calling him saying they didn't sleep, they were so upset.
Serves Tom right for popping a rib on that prank. It got me...but at least it got the co-hosts too, so maybe I won't feel so pwn3d.

On the day before April 1 especially, you have to be really gullible to believe that was real. Aside from that if Michael Strahan was really going to fight Tom Arnold, he wouldn't try to slap his shirt sleeve, he would have picked up the chair and threw him into the audience.
For shame (some of you).

I'm not impressed.
I will admit the prank worked on me and I can laugh about it, just as the co-hosts of the show were able to do.
It was an APRIL FOOL'S joke. I'm watching it right now on replays.
You guys got FOOLED!!!
hahaha!
They're showing all these emails from viewers calling tom "Benedict Arnold" and accusing Chris of "purposely witholding info" about the book.
They did a pretty good job! Nice! Those guys are funny!
See posts 69, 70 and 71. Caught the earlier show.
