I'll give Pop credit. The play for Barry was ballsy and something completely out of the norm for Pop.
Here's to more pleasant surprises at the offensive end the rest of the way
(we'll need them to beat Detroit)
va te faire foutre. I love the french version

The Spurs got called for a lot of ticky-tack crap tonight in regulation. Sac had a 38-24 edge in free throws before OT (then the Spurs outshot them 12-0). Duncan got hit a few times in the post and nothing, while anyone who breathed on Shareef in the post got whistled.
The real clever part about that play was having Brent bouce it off the rim to waste another half-second before going in. That was some high basketball IQ there.
I never wanna see Tony take a jumper again.
You're a chronic ing whiner.
Did my post work out or not? I am the anti-hex to Jim's hex![]()
That play was the best play Pop has ever drawn up. It was incredible.
Remember Game 5 of Detroit when Horry missed his free throw on the and-1 off his shoulder-dislocating dunk? If he didn't set up the miss, then we would not have had the 2-to tie, 3 to win play to fall our way.
I think Manu Missed his free-throw in regulation so that he could set the Spurs up for another Playoff Last Second Heroic three! They're just toying with the their opponents.
They're good actors these Spurs.

Good call![]()
That's quotable.
CLASSIC
I see ing on the spurs and they are worth nothing but when they just happen to somehow win that game THEN THANK YOU FOR ANSWERING THE CALL ???
Classless
This was exactly the kind of game I wanted... one where the other team pretty much controlled things, and played a better game for the most part. I wanted something the Spurs would have to fight like for, and Sacramento made them work for everything they got. Watching this game was like watching the Lakers play badly during the three-peat. No matter what the score was, you knew they were going to find some way to stay alive and sneak out with the win in the end. The Spurs experienced really shined tonight, and I'm always most satisfied by seeing the Spurs find ways to win games they play badly in, because you need to do it at least a couple of times to win a le.
nothing like sucking ass for about 28 minutes out of 53, and winning.
Not exactly Sacramento's "best shot" but close to it.
Hopefully this was a bit of a wake up call, and they come out better friday.
If I never again see the Spurs play defense like the first half, that won't be long enough. Props to Bonzi and Martin and SAR for playing their asses off, though.
Having to battle to win is something important for the mental toughness of Spurs team.
Being obliged to adapt their game & plan and to win in an "heroic" way is something crucial for the rest of the compe ion. They will face other situation like that and they prove to themselves that they can react!
AHF, why always refers to frenchman when it's for criticizing & just Tony when he's doing fine? Problem of ego? Being boo by woman?![]()
seriously we sucked in the first half playin from behind due to martin n wells killin us,
3rd quarter we came out strong, i was expecting us to keep these clowns under 16pts for the quarter, damn we had a 10pt lead and lost it when duncan picked up his 5th foul.
4th + OT, duncan played weak defense for 10mins which was very good, kept himself in the game, but still a presence on the court. i wanted to see more of him postin up down low since kings have no answer for him. sumtimes i think pop should just stop with the parker bs high pick and iso plays
anyway a win is a win, i take it.
The REAL secret to SAR's emergence.
I didn't see the game (watched it via phone-cast) - was Tim gettin whistled for offensive fouls?
So, can we go ahead and change AHF's little description from "Free Throw Coach" to "Popovich's Beeyotch" yet?
"kings have no answer for him."
Kings had the same answer that has always pretty much neutralized Tim: front him plus perimeters players ready to sag, so IF he gets the ball, he's way out of the low block.
Tim shot some ugly, not-a-prayer bricks last night (nothing to do with his PF).
He needs to grow up, get smart, and quit in at the refs every ing time he shoots. That hasn't worked, has it?, and no-calls are FAR down the list of his problems.
He's learning from Nazr how to play defense.
Tim's so lackadaisical that when he actually shows some fire, it makes the NBA ads and highlight films. He and Robert moseying down the court last night with no clue where the action was while Sac ran the ball up their backs in tranistion was horrible.
Just having fun with it... one of my roommates in college was FrenchAHF, why always refers to frenchman when it's for criticizing & just Tony when he's doing fine?Even he makes fun of his own culture's 'passivity'.
Kori - good call, I thought he was going to get to 10... turnovers.
pop was genius on that play, but he was equally as bad when he took out Manu right after Tim sat with his 4th foul. Everyone knew it was a critical point in the game, spurs up by 10, but who was going to score. Manu answered the call on the 1st possession and then Pop sits him. Sac in the next 3 minutes tie the game with both Tim and Manu on the bench.
Shut Up! Its A Game Baby! Dont Talk Like A Fetus!
Whoever Complain Is A Fetus!lol!
