Hondo is like a tornado magnet... RUN!!
Yeah that's crazy. They just showed Hondo at 96 and San Antonio right next to it at 66. You would have thought it was some type of error
Vashner was right![]()
I just got home a few minutes ago. I got caught by that nasty ty storm when I was leaving the at&t center...
ing hail was pounding my poor little car![]()
It didn't rain because Manny didn't say it would...
I have no idea why Manny quit his weatherman job?
I was at Fort Sam Houston when the storm came in.We had just pulled into Salado Park and took cover under some trees as the hail came down. One of the guys from the office where we activate out of said there was golf ball size hail outside and when it stopped, he would let us know if anyone would have to buy a new windshield. We deactivated and got to the office to find some minor( Thank you God, Thank you Jesus!!!)dings on the hoods of our vehicles...WHEW!!!!!
you had to "deactivate" to get to an office? That makes no sense...
You mean deactivate an exercise? Normally deactiavte means you go back to reserve status or something like that.

This is from my sister's house she lives about a mile south of Woodlawn lake she got golf ball size hail
You can see the Hail falling sideways!!!
BTW we didn't get crap (sea world area) but a few drops and some strong wind
We might get a repeat of yesterday. They its getting so damn hot that the atmosphere gets to a point where the lift isn't stopped. The atmosphere gets juiced and wham, you have a supercell on your hands. Whatever forms will probably be isolated but it will be severe.
I don't know if you guys remember the Jarrell tornado about 10 years ago that dropped an F5 in that town and moved in the same way yesterday's storm did and eventually got to SA and did some damage as well, but thats the situation that the atmosphere was in yesterday and today. I've only ever seen a supercell form and move like that twice which was the Jarrell storm and yesterday. It'll be interesting to see what happens today, but don't be suprised if it occurs.
Yea it's been dark all day here in Bulverde.. but radar is clear.
I knew when Steve Brown said IT WOULD NOT happen again that it would..
As far at the Jarrell that's why I said people of Hondo RUN... I was not joking.
But I guess it went south of them.
It hasn't even hit 90 yet so Steve Brown might be right. It just isnt' getting hot enough. It probably has to get to around 95 or so before this will happen.
Manny where were you yesterday![]()
I got stuck for 45 minutes on a ing hail storm
Taking a great afternoon nap! Well untill the damn hail woke me up.![]()
In that case, I will listen to Vashner next time...![]()
I am the son of Jarrell
Hey I am a big Manny fan too. He knows more than I do about weather.
What kind of doggy do you have?
a 2 year old basset hound.
Ever since I got him, I swear every stray that comes in my yard I feed em and take care of em like my own
He honestly has made me a huge animal lover.
But yeah, that l dog, hes awesome, very smart, love him to death.
He started whimpering when I left him today, had me tearing up![]()
Well, hopefully he's safe inside...asleep.
I'm also an animal lover. I have an American Eskimo (White Sox) 2 Red slider turtles (Snickers & Skittles) and a beautiful orange Tabby (Rolo)
We "deactivate" meaning we are finished for the shift and will not be assigned another call. We fuel up and return to our station to clean and restock supplies...
Our company uses a computer system to track our calls, assign calls and tracks the ambulances that are on assignments... Computer Aided Dispatching
We activate at begining of shift & truck info(Crew members, equipment, truck number and deactivation time) is entered into the computer system.
Ah thought you where military unit.My bad..
