I think there may be more truth to that statement than you know.
Kings, imo, better team than Mavs...
Pop might could use another former HC on the bench ala PJ if the latter departs SA...

Nowitzki's game is similiar to Wells and Artest at the 3 and 4, though both are better in the post. I think the difference will be that Dampier can't be lifted 20 feet from the rim at the 5 unlike what the Kings were able to do with SARS and Miller. I think Dallas' D is better than Sacto's though.
I'd take Dampier and Diop over Miller and SARS anyday. Miller and SARS=Soft
Damn. I didn't even put 2 and 2 together about the extremely quick turnaround...That sucks for San Antonio! I just thought it sucks to have a noon game because the Mavs are pretty horrid in early games.
So are the Spurs
Being a #1 seed has nothing to do with it. It's really not an issue...
It's weird, because if you look at the schedule, the Spurs played Friday, will play Sunday and again Tuesday. Looks pretty even, but it's a 36 hour turnaround between the buzzer of Game 6 and tip of Game 1 round 2, but almost 54 hours between the buzzer of Game 1 (2:30-2:45PM Sunday) and the tip of Game 2 Tuesday at 8:30 PM.
And 4 days betw game 2 and game 3..it is crazy
that will help spurs get their strength back
and they are older then the mavs
Stackhouse, Terry, Van Horn, Griffin and Dampier are no spring chickens
I'm glad the Spurs will be playing on Sunday at noon cause I got tickets, but then again I have to be on a flight to San Jose Ca at 7pm, so the wife and her sister get the Tuesday night tickets.
And with the game at noon, besides the horrid turn around time which has been stated..blah blah blah blah... I get to watch the game AND then study for my finals...instead of studying and then watching the game. Just thinking about the kids!
A noon game stinks, but at least I get to see it, since I work the evening shift.
Props to Adelman; classy remark in defeat.
This is gay. I have work on Sunday. Why is this game not on primetime? OMFG![]()

Who the schedules these games.
Because Spurs must rise to the occassion and play while tired, and Mavs need to get into a groove early in order to compete on a road trip, Game 1 should be vedy intudesteeng b-ball.
Like someone else said, Spurs definitely have the momentum. And both teams will easily jet home between road games. It's not like a Laker/Clip thing, but better than Spurs/Kings. After some rest the Spurs should be able to put the Mavs away in 6 games.
Spurs will win Game 1 and Mavs should take Game 2.
Diplomacy at it's best.![]()
This is late, but I wanted to add my props for Coach Adelman.
He showed guts and class.![]()
Rick Adleman is VERY classy. The move he did that showed the MOST class was when he lost the game for the Kings. For some unknown reason, he changed his gameplan from punishing the Spurs with Wells and Artest all night to a gameplan which revolved around getting Mike Bibby going. That change allowed the Spurs to win Game 6.
I would sit and try to figure out why Adleman would change what worked so well for four games in a row, but I'm too busy thinking about the Mavs now.

Can't count how many times you said last night wtf are they doing?![]()
Rick Adelman is full of ing excuses. He is trying to cover up all the excuses he made for his kings by making one for the spurs. Lame.![]()
mavs fan gets quite bitter and jumpy around the time the Spurs are about to beat the living out of em.
