yeah, I guess so, thats just to bad.
wow, that's just how it goes with celebrity.
yeah, I guess so, thats just to bad.
remember he isn't <s>just</s> a fan he is an owner he is just looking out for his investment that is why he is at the games.
It could be worse.
David could be wearing one of the bootleg t-shirts they sell on the West side.
For everybody ing and trying to find some way to read more into this than David being a fan of the Spurs, you deserve to be relegated to watcjing NBDL games for the rest of your lives.
David's an owner, a fan and a staple of the city and the team. 29 other teams in the league would have killed for David Robinson to be on their rosters and mean to them what he meant to the Spurs and the city of San Antonio.
David can wear one of those basketball net Spurs hats for all I care. He's there, he's cheering and he knows more about basketball than I can ever hope to.
Props to one of the greatest players in NBA history.
Like I knew that. He's old enough to know better than to go pester someone for a ing autograph, and you are a ing dumbass for not understanding that.
if you recall I belive in shaq's book he mentiones how david refused to give him a n autgraph either
um, I still think a big part has to do with him being a former player, and that some of his former teammates still playing, and he loves SA org. His mindset at the time is probably more fan, than owner I'm sure. Spurs aren't some scrub team in build mode for him to micromanage in the PO, these are the champs! You watch and you root! If i'm not mistaken, almost sounds like you're trying to sterilize him, like he's putting on some act and the board members have him obligated to attend the games.
Hey tool...did you ever think that if he signed the autograph for your brother that he'd have to sign one for everyone? And then he would be doing nothing but signing autographs...
And that's been proven to be a lie...Shaq said he was in highschool when that happened...Shaq was already in college when Drob debuted as a rookie.
Shaq wrote a book? Must have been a coloring book. - David Robinson
Showing just how completely he owned Shaq.
Did he really say that? I never heard that before.![]()
so to back up david you post a quote of his where he is belittling anoter person through the media?
Um...did you actually read Shaq's book?
Or are coloring books too much for you to handle?
Your brother was obviously en led to an autograph -- any celebrity should expect, when he goes out to do everyday things, that he'll be repeatedly approached and asked for autographs; and shame on David for not just rolling over and giving an autograph to everyone who ever asks.
I suspect that part of the reason that David remains in San Antonio is that people DON'T roll up on him and bother him with crap like that. I've heard many Spurs (current and former) say that they stay in San Antonio because people here respect their privacy.
FWIW, Bill Russell never signs autographs for anyone. He's said before that if people want to talk with him, he's available for that; but if all they want is an autograph that doesn't mean anything, they aren't getting it. You might think it makes him a jerk or an ass, but I think that's a perfectly acceptable approach.
Autographs are basically garbage. Maybe it's just me, but I'd be much happier to tell people that I had a conversation with someone like David Robinson than to show off some piece of paper with a name scribbled on it.
No I had no reason to read his book. Why woud€l someone want to read shaqs book. I guess you will be reading kobe's diary next and praying to it.
He said that? Wow that's cold.
Shaq's not a dumb manchild. His online masters degree should at least account for something.
"...call me ’Dr. Shaq’ because I’m working on my PhD." – Shaquille O’Neal...
LakerHater
did NOT just say
David Robinson.......
Please tell me he didnt.
You can't sell a conversation on Ebay.
I am sorry but some times that is just the price you pay for being a celeberity is people will come up and talk to you. Remember those people are the ones that made them huge money as a celeberity in the first place. If people didn't watch them david wouldn;t have all his money.
Alot of people don't even approach famous people because they are shy or scared so it is not like they are bugged 24/7.
Next thing people wouldn;t have the right to talk to their own president. You know the dude they elected(through elec college but still) and that should be representing their will.
that's what I was thinking...we live in a material world. Save the philosophical outlook. Bill Russell is a !![]()
I am not so sure of that. If they can sell a pancake with jesus on it they can sell a tape. They coudl sell it to the press. Remember if voice materal is so worthless than wy do we have radio, and tv. WHo needs copyright for audio works or interviews because obvilously interviews are worthless.
To use a Bill Walton word, your posts have "devolved" from just plain weak into the realm of the completely inane.
I think I get your vibe, but I'll say that my interaction with other people isn't about cheapening things by looking to capitalize with cheap quasi-momentos of fleeting meetings. Like I said, it's probably just me. David Robinson doesn't owe me an opportunity to make a buck; I'd be grateful that he'd be willing to visit for a minute.
Don't misunderstand me, here. I completely agree with you. My point is that autograph seekers don't give a about the person they are hassling, as is apparent by their coming onto a fan board and saying " " that person because they didn't give up the autograph on demand. They might as well just go up and ask the person for money.
