So what your saying is when The Cav's get knocked out you would like a seat on The Spurs Bandwagon. I don't mean to give you crap I love Brons game you just don't have enough around him yet. I think game two should be closer we won't shoot 85% from down town like that. Should be close until the third Cav's will lose by 10 to 12 points. Then I think Cav's have a great chance to take game three at home.
Yeah, if they ever put some players around Lebron, Cavs gonna be a monster contender. I love LBJs game. That dude is awesome. And what's scary is he is only going to get better.

I didn't say you were defending the Cavs. I was explaining that it wasn't a " " at ude, I was explaining that the Cavs have no chance in this series, which is why Pistons fans and Spurs fans alike say that Cleveland has no chance in this series. You're inferring at ude where none exists. Simple statement of fact.

    right on. thank you.

My comment is not flaming the Cavs. It's not showing a y at ude. It's reality. The Cavs are over matched. Hopefully they will reach the level neccesary to compete.....but they are not yet there.

And as FreshPrince22 stated, my thought and at ude do not have an impact on the Pistons chances in the ECF

No dude, it's called reality. We wouldn't be saying like that about the Spurs or Mavs. The Cavs are simply not in the same class as the Pistons. You would put money on the Cavs taking out the Pistons? Not likely. And having confident fans doesn't mean playoff failure. That's an odd thing to say, don't you think?
Have to say, the man speaks the truth. The Pistons, Mavs and Spurs are in a class of their own... then there is the rest of the league. Cavs dont have a prayer to take the Pistons.

Actually, I think I remember this time that a team's fans lost a championship for them..... um.... no wait, never mind. Lol

    Lock this thread!

The Spurs have business with the Mavs. We don't need to hear Cavs fan crying. The Pistons will be a worry, if and when they and the Spurs get that far. (Not that I don't expect it, but that conversation is way too early)

Or move it to the NBA forum, maybe. This is only here because the new Cavs fan didn't know the rules for posting (not his/her fault, just a fact) and it ended up in the Spurs forum. I kinda like this thread, but it doesn't need to be here.

I was listening to the WDFN show today, and a cleveland fan called in and said that the Cavs would win in 5. Rob Otto was killing it. It was one of the funniest bits I've heard in a long while. This guy was serious as a heart attack. Cavs in 5. Cavs in 5.

Damn. Guaransheed that's a promo bit tomorrow. I'll have to tune in early and often, lol. Otto would have fun with that , too, lol.

Even if you take games 2,3 and 4, you don't have a shot.
Spotting any team, the Hawks for instance, a 3-1 series lead is just damn foolish. Could the Pistons win? They have (Orlando in 2003). But why go through that?

As for the original poster: "smug?" What is it that you find offensive?

For people questioning why this is in the Spurs forum:

Because it's asking for the SPURS to beat the Pistons.

Because it's the playoffs and the SPURS might meet the Pistons later in the playoffs.

Because I choose to leave it here.

I love how you all come out of the woodwork trying to be wannabe moderators.

cavs in 5 if cavs win it would be in 6
    but that has 1% happening
if james can not score a point in the second half they have no shot at all
james also usually shots 33% against pistons and 18 points a game
in the regualr season atleast that is what the abc announcers said

    cavs are done

As for myself, my defense is that I just assumed that it wouldn't meet the criteria to remain in the Spurs forum. I like this thread so I'm glad it's not going anywhere.

That's the kind of at ude I hate.

All the more reason for why Detroit won't even survive the ECF.

Brutalis' posts arent worth the electronic data attached to storing them.

Worthless on a scale not previously seen by humanity.

    --------------------

Oh yeah, we Pistons fans want the Spurs too, my man. I want to play no other team for the le. None.

I want a rematch. The Spurs are 'one up' on the Pistons right now. If the Pistons win this year, they are tied at 2 for Championships in the past 4 years.

I dont count 99. I know Spurs fans will, and I understand that completely. To me though, it was 7 years ago, with a Laker 3-peat in between.

As a Cavs fan I really cannot stand the Detroit Pistons...............I know the SPURS CAN AND WILL BEAT THOSE SMUG DETROIT PISTONS AGAIN IN THE FINALS!
Okay, I understand the dislike; being in the same division as the Pistons has got to be a headache. But I don't understand the "smug" thing; they know they're the best in the conference and don't fake otherwise, but they also give credit to teams that play them hard (and even beat them, on occasion).

And most of all, I also don't understand your avatar; a Cavs fan who wants to be Tony Parker's woman? That's just creepy. Weird, dark and creepy.

I hate Detroit more than I ever hated the Lakers or the Jazz.

They are pompous asses, and that Championship belt crap they pulled out in 04 was proof of this.

The Spurs will kick their asses again and hopefully shut their pie holes once and for all.

I've never understood the hatred the Pistons got over the belts. What's the big deal about this?

Most professional athletes have some arrogance or iness in them. Pistons are no different. And, outside of Rasheed and sometimes Rip, most of the Pistons players are quietly and humbly confident. The Spurs are very humble and modest, but that's more of the exception than the rule when it comes to pro basketball players.

As for shutting their pie holes once and for all, even should the Spurs beat the Pistons this year in the Finals, don't expect Rasheed to shut up. Shaq hasn't won a le in three years, and he still talks more than any other player in the league. Pro athletes don't shut up just because they lose.

And, if that's directed towards Pistons fans who talk a lot of smack, don't expect them to shut up either. If the Spurs do win, the smack-talking Pistons fans may be quiet for a few weeks, but there will several others that will make excuses and continue to talk how the Pistons were the better team but just didn't win. I suspect there will be several Spurs fans who would do the same should the Pistons beat the Spurs. That's just how it goes.

I knew the Cavs would get rolled by the Pistons b/c of the way LeBron and his buddies were celebrating after game 6 against the Wiz. I think they are satisfied to get to the second round, and have no illusions of beating a championship caliber team like Detroit.

The belts were cool. Sure, they were kind of corny. But, they were only stupid if you were a fan of a rival team.
