A lot of the rims have been mic'ed for a couple seasons now. They run the audio into the tv/radio broadcast and inside of the arena.
Tell you what...make a deal with you...if you win this series, you will lose the next one. How 'bout we come over and spam your boards for awhile? I'm already starting a collection of to post.

loser will always whine abt this and that. its the team that will play though everything that deserves to win. and i gotta say, ginobili deserves an oscar for his acting performance on the foul with Josh Howard. If u watch the replay u clearly see manu slow down and get tangled with josh on purpose since he knows dallas has no more fouls to give. honestly, i have never seen the spurs whine so much in my life...... they are turning out to be worse than the master, Cuban himself![]()
Thanks, it's been bugging the out of me. Sounds so stupid.
LOL! So you basically admit the Spurs havethe Mavericks.
![]()
no respect for Timmy whatsoever. that is true.
close the spurs out in game 5 and then I'll be impressed. otherwise, spurs will win in 7.
I think the Spurs are about the only ones in the NBA that do not have mic-ed rims; I have noticed this season that more teams than ever have done that.
You mean like last night when the Mavs stopped and watched Manu coming from behind before jumping sideways into him?
That's part of the game. Gotta pay attention.
I agree completely...overall the officiating has bogged down the games...
Yes...they have mic's.
I don't have a forum...
Vet move by Terry that gets called his way 9/10 times...sorry...
Forward? Yes. Sideways? No.
Ok. You'll disappear from this one, too, when you get your heart handed to you while it's still beating by the Clippers or the Pistons (if the Spurs don't do it). Just like CMG's roaches when someone turns on the light...![]()
Oh no doubt. It's exactly what Manu did the other night to get free throws. That's what I was commenting on. It's a solid move, and the players need to pay attention or their going to get caught like that and get whistled.
I'll disappear in the off-season because I'll watching the Rangers and keeping up with the Cowboys camp...![]()
THANK YOU!
Hey, that's my summer plans too!
The mods here will edit your posts and your bio to make you look like a Spurs fan. This one of the lamest messageboards on the internet. Thats why you get so many trolls. You deserve it.
How many times did a Spurs player protest to those travelling violations? NONE. Only because Bowen or Duncan wasnt called for them. They whine after every call.
So what youre saying is...the Spurs shouldnt get penalties called against them even if theyre legit? Good job loser.
As a Mav's fan for the past 5 years (years in which the Spurs owned the Mavericks) I have been on the other side of this fence. I am actually pissed off that the refs have stolen the Mav's victory spotlight. The Spurs have enjoyed getting the questionable calls for years and now the tables have turned and you spurs fans can now feel the pain.
2 observations that will never be mentioned here:
1. Bruce Bowen could be called for 15 fouls a game. He plays tough D, but gets the benefit of the doubt on a lot of close calls (and some obvious calls) because he is labled "defensive specialist".
2. Every Spurs fan on this board is simply following their leader Tim Duncan. Whining over every call. He is an amazing player, but even more amazing is the fact that he NEVER fouls anybody....according to him.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the rest of your summer. The karma has come back to bite you and I am glad it is the Mavs that get the benefit.
***Before you write the obligatory "Go away, shut the f*ck up and get off our forum" BS, just remember how many of you or your friends blasted mavs fans on their own boards when you were kicking our asses the last 3 years***
How can a Spurs fan whine about the traveling calls?? If anything, those were the most clear-cut calls on them all night!! I know guys travel a lot, but when you travel like Parker did, you HAVE to call it...
As a student of history, Dallas teams seem to get calls at key times
"Staubach's desperation toss and Pearson's contortionist catch — the ball wound up lodged snugly between his right elbow and right hip — shocked and angered the Vikings. They argued vehemently that Pearson had been guilty of offensive pass interference because, they said, he pushed Nate Wright, the defender, out of the way so he could catch the ball. But they lost the argument . . .
Tarkenton and the offense came back on the field after the kickoff. Tarkenton was sacked twice. Each time, the quarterback rose and raced after an official, to protest the lack of an offensive interference call against Pearson. This further incensed the spectators and a barrage of bottles, cans, Thermos jugs and other items came flying from the right-field bleachers."
From the Snopes article: http://www.snopes.com/sports/football/tarkenton.asp
That's not true. We have many honorable and highly respected members here who are fans of other teams. They belong to one of the classiest message boards on the internet (THE classiest basketball message board I have seen...and I've seen hundreds). The "mods" do not edit posts unless you break the rules. It's lame and cowardly to claim to be something you're not and would never deserve to be, though. If you want respect, you have to give a little. Come into someone else's forum with guns blazing and you can bet we'll shoot back.
