So frusturating.
Big win for the Heat. Big pressure on the Pistons for Game 4.
it was easy to see the Pistons wouldn't be able to handle the Heat, they had trouble with LBJ and his scrubs and now they got Wade who is nearly on the same level and they also have to face a dominant center...........
like i said it...
THE PISTONS GOT EXPOSED
Pffft. Save that crap for when the series is over, if you're still around. Props to the Heat for a good win tonight; great defense, especially in the post. Big credit to Wade, but most of all to Riley. Let's see if Flip has an answer....
First Ben, now Sheed gets in Flip's face.
Bye bye, Flip. Hope you enjoy coaching in the D-League.
God dammit. WTF is wrong with Detroit?
Trust me people. There is something wrong in that pistons locker room.
The NBA is going to give America the Suns-Heat Finals matchup everyone wanted to see.
Last year.
Yes, everyone but Chauncey hates Flip.
The Pistons during the regular season had enough self-discipline and leadership to coach themselves, and at 64-18, they did a heck of a job.
Come playoff time, however, game-to-game adjustments matter. Schemes matter. Game plans matter. Teams need a coach. Flip Saunders simply is not up to the task.
Detroit would be better off selecting a player-coach than continuing with Saunders. If they come back to win, it is in spite of him rather than because of him, not unlike Byron Scott during the Nets' two conference le runs (Scott has since improved tremendously in N.O./OKC).
Did anyone see Sheed sitting at the scorer's table when the team was huddled during the timeout.
Also when Sheed was subbed, he said something like "come on, man" to Flip.
If by "come on, man", you mean "Get off me, ", yes.
And I applaud him for it.
I can't believe that a single player in the locker room except for Chauncey "MVP" Billups and maybe Maurice Evans has the slightest respect for him as a coach.
I didn't see the game cuz I had to work. I recorded it, but I don't think I want to watch it.
Man, what the has happened to us??
No question about that. But the meltdown of the players.... always thought their maturity was their biggest edge, but you just get this feeling about them that something is slipping away. Other than just coaching, because it doesn't seem to be the only factor. I dunno. Maybe I'm reading way too far into things.
That said, I still think we win this series if we win game 4.
don't spin it anymore...they're not that "great" or that "dominant", is just that the weak estern conference maked them look like the best team ever.
Miami is playing better than Detroit so far in this series.
Riley is coaching better than Flip.
Ultimately, it's still on the players. And, Tayshaun, Ben, and Rasheed all played poorly tonight. And, about half-way through the fourth quarter, the Pistons were only down one point, 74-73.
This team can play better. Flip can coach better.
They have to do it starting game 4, or it will be near impossible to come back.
This isn't spin. This isn't the same team we've watched all year. Pistons fans everywhere will tell you that right now.
This is not to take anything from Miami. They've played well enough to win, and I think that if Miami played as well as they possibly could, they would have destroyed us all three games. If Miami wins this series, they deserve all the credit in the world for going out and getting it done. But I can't shake this feeling of astonishment over the fact that when it matters most, these guys now seem to be shrinking from the challenge.
25-5 against the Western Conference.
If anything, the Western Conference made the Pistons look great and dominant.
all year or first half of the year?, that was just a 1st half seasson hot streak IMO.
All year. The way they're playing right now is completely unfamiliar to me.
