Yeah, Malik didn't help the Spurs win a championship after '99. He also didn't help them get past Dallas in the playoffs either.

The only thing that would have changed in our series with the Mavs this year was that six of the foul calls going on Horry, Finley, and Bowen for having the audacity to make physical contact with Dirk would have been on Rose instead.He also didn't help them get past Dallas in the playoffs either.
None of those guys can rebound like Rose can. He may get whistled out of the game more often than not, but he will also grab some boards while he is in the game.
Didn't Dirk have like a 25 rebound game against us? Sure, that has nothing to do with using guards to defend him.

Gooden will rebound, and is young enough to grasp the defensive system.

Gooden's book of defense is without pages. Seriously. He makes Nazr look like DRob. There is a reason why he is heading for his 4th team after playing only 4 years in the 'L'.

We all knew Nazr was gone, didn't we? He got benched for Rasho, and then both he and Rasho got benched in the playoffs. Rasho's value is his D, Nazr's value WAS his rebounding, but he stopped being able to provide that.
