All Rose proved was that after he got the big contract his head got bigger and his hustle and rebounding got worse. Quit living in '99.
Yeah, Malik didn't help the Spurs win a championship after '99. He also didn't help them get past Dallas in the playoffs either.

Spurs wouldn't be spending MLE this year if they still had Malik's contract hanging around there necks.
I thought we split the MLE on Finley and Oberto. Is there another MLE available?

Yes. It's available unless you are under the cap.

Right. The only thing that would have changed in our series with the Mavs this year was that six of the foul calls going on Horry, Finley, and Bowen for having the audacity to make physical contact with Dirk would have been on Rose instead.

None of those guys can rebound like Rose can. He may get whistled out of the game more often than not, but he will also grab some boards while he is in the game.

Didn't Dirk have like a 25 rebound game against us? Sure, that has nothing to do with using guards to defend him.

How many owners would commit to increasing payroll if they had a shot at multiple les?
Surprisingly few, seeing as the last two dynasties were blown up by their owners for purely financial reasons.

Another player of this type is Nazr Mohammed, an unrestricted free agent from the San Antonio Spurs. Ferry played and worked for the Spurs before coming to the Cavs, and knows Mohammed well. It's a safe guess that Mohammed is a player the Cavs will consider if they end up moving Gooden.
    Acron Beacon Journal.
If the bidding for Nazr goes above the midlevel, is there anyone Cleveland has that would be worth doing a sign and trade for?

    id trade Mohammed for Gooden.

Gooden will rebound, and is young enough to grasp the defensive system.

that would be a steal for the spurs but would the cavs even make that trade? And why would they want Nazr when they have Z?

If it took this long to figure out that Nazr turned down the extension to the Chicago Sun Times then it'll take until all-star weekend to figure out who the Bulls drafted.

No idea. There was just a report from the Akron paper earlier in the thread that they might be interested.

Gooden's book of defense is without pages. Seriously. He makes Nazr look like DRob. There is a reason why he is heading for his 4th team after playing only 4 years in the 'L'.

He also didnt help us win the le in ´05 so quit sucking his in . I´m sure you were this pro-Malik when he was throwing balls out of bounds and dribbling them off his foot, all the while commanding a gigantic salary. Dallas beat us, we had our chances to win, and Malik wouldnt have changed . In retrospect, I would like to have those 1st round picks but I would trade them for that 2005 le any day. Quit being spoiled, the spurs wont win every year.

One play. Manu Ginobili made a play 1000 times worse.

Spurs fans got what they wanted and Malik Rose was traded. Then along came a series in which Rose would've clearly been important and the Spurs were dropped. Maybe you'll stop sucking the front office's and grow a pair.

No Malik, no picks, and after this summer, no Mohammed. Great trade.

No malik, no picks, no mohammed and no huge contract for a role player

Malik would make 6.5 mil next year and our team payroll would be around 67.5 million, doubtful that the spurs would even use the MLE with a payroll that high.

We all knew Nazr was gone, didn't we? He got benched for Rasho, and then both he and Rasho got benched in the playoffs. Rasho's value is his D, Nazr's value WAS his rebounding, but he stopped being able to provide that.
