Like Nikos said, it should never have come down to a 3-point play in the final seconds of a Game 7 on our court. So it wasn't just Manu who contributed to the loss. , he's the main reason we were even in the game at that point. Not having a center who knew how to play basketball, Tony's injuries, Duncan being out of gas at that point, Pop refusing to even experiment with a tall-ball line-up--all of these things were factors in that game. The responsibility for the loss shouldn't be pinned on Manu's shoulders alone.
Plus, if you're a fan, you support your team and your players through the good times and the bad, not just when they're flying high and scoring at will.
I don´t think that Pop want to let Irk go to the hoop
Finley in the 6th Game, make a too better defense and forcing IRk to shot from outside
BB must to force Irk for the same play
quite spinning it
manu should not have fouled period
blaming it on bowen is LAME
Manu foul Dirk because he thought Dirk will not made the shot. Too bad Dirk is just too good for him.
Manu is The Man. He just caught Houston Oileritis during the last minute of that tragic Game 7. But forgive him.
I already have. I watched Game 7 of the Finals from last year.
Dayum. Not a Buddy Ryan/Kevin Gilbride reference of melt down on defense.
Nobody knew who Frank Reich was until that moment....![]()
Yeah they did, Ryan didn't take over until the following season because of what Reich and the Bills did to the Oilers. But then, the Oiler defense ran into Joe Montana.![]()
Reich did the same thing to Jimmy Johnson's Univ. of Miami team when he was at Maryland also...so a few people knew what Frank could do in the clutch.
Valluco...what I'm talking about is the comeback itself. Buddy and Gilbride's spat cost the Oilers their only chance at even getting into the superbowl.
Reich's ability not withstanding, we all know damn well that if the Oilers' defense did what they were supposed to do, Buffalo wouldn't have gone any further. that was an ass whooping of magninumous proportions.
with taht said, my reference was to the melt down that Houston had; not Frank Reich.
Cripes, it isn't painful enough you have to rehash Manu's foul, now you guys have to somehow bring Frank Reich into it.

Not in my book. Manu has two rings while Strickland is still wishing.
AND...if not for Manu's three the play before that, the Spurs wouldn't have gone up by three to begin with, no?
AND...(again) Manu isn't the devil. He beat the devil in basketball. Didn't everyone see that Argentinian Gatorade commercial?![]()

and Emanuel means "God is with us"
oh my, some people are cruel.
nah, He can take a look at his NBA, Euro and olympic trophies and feel better about himself.
damn my first post after the loss to the mavs![]()
at least the new champs are the ones who dethroned us.
I hope some of you people aren't still blaming Manu for the loss. He was a major part of the entire comeback. We wouldn't have even been in position to win without him.
