why? how? are there actual REASONS behind this or just blind hate?
Kobe >>>> Wade
I'm not biased, I hate them both equally
why? how? are there actual REASONS behind this or just blind hate?
What have I done to lead you to believe that I have an at ude problem? Is it because I responded to your post with a different point of view on this subject?
I dislike them both.
I just think Kobe is an all-around a better basketball player. He's a better defender, better long-range shooter, and he can do everything Wade does at the same if not higher level (slashing/mid-range game).
Wade gets turn-over happy when you put pressure on him (double/triple teams) which Kobe (w/o Shaq) faces all the time now and he's still able to be extremely effective. Kobe's also a better passer (when he chooses to pass)
Wade is a great basketball player, but his game is more flash then substance right now compared to Kobe's. I've seen Kobe make some really difficult shots. I've seen Wade make some as well, but more often than not i've just seen him at the free-throw line.
While they're both talented, Kobe's more fundamentally sound.
Ask me again in a few years, and i might have a different opinion
Are you joking? Because this really made me laugh, I just hope it was on purpose. Better passer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More substance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How much value do you put on playing a team game? I personally think it is one of the most, if not the most important aspect to having a winning team and a being a great player. Wade is unselfish, Kobe is not, period. Until Kobe proves he can play with anybody else or make anybody else a better player, then I really don't see how this is even a debate, unless you don't care about being a team player. I know that Kobe can do it, he did it for 5 games against the Suns, the question is will he do it.
Wade is better NOW only because he's this year's champion.
He is not better than Kobe.
On the current laker team, Kobe had to face double even triple team EVERY game during both regular season and playoffs. Wade didn't. Yes, Shaq is not his old self, but Wade is obviously on a better team than Kobe's this year. Therefore, It's not a fair comparison.
Exactly!!!
His passing skill/ability is better. Notice how i said when he chooses to pass. Wade has trouble passing out of double teams and to be honest i dont remember him making many spectacular passes in general. Kobe's more skilled. Period.
This topic wasn't who's the better team player? It was who's better Wade or Kobe. As for having a winning team look at Wade's supporting cast, and Kobe's. Kobe was a "team player" in the Suns series and ultimately his team fell short, but they competed. He made them better. As for him making them a championship-caliber team, he's not god. His team (minus Odom) is awful.
Until Wade doesn't have Shaq, I don't see how this point is debatable.
This is a team game, so it is about who makes the biggest difference to a team, that is who is better. Kobe played team ball for five games, and you can't tell me that he did in game 6 or 7. He's not a god? Well that is true, but it didn't take a god to close out the Suns after they got up 3-1. I've seen Kobe on a "stacked" team, and he isn't as good of a player as Wade. And he probably does make fancier passes, which makes it even worse that he doesn't choose to play team ball because you know that he has all the ability in the world to do so.
When Wade gets three rings, I'll consider it.
By that line of thinking, Robert Horry is better than Kobe, but I know that isn't true. I don't think that Kobe can lead his team to a ring like Wade did, Kobe has yet to prove that he can win a ring without being the second fiddle. Maybe people should be comparing Kobe to Pippen.
The thing is it wasn't up to Kobe to close the series out. It was up to the Lakers. He played within the system for the most part, although i'll give you Game 7 (2nd half) where he threw a tantrum, but at that point the game had already slipped away. They were getting blown out. It was over. The only times i saw him try to take over is when his teammates could not do anything and he tried to put them on his back. I didn't see selfish Kobe in the majority of that series. It's not his fault the rest of the players choked. Had the roles been reversed, I don't really see Wade faring much better.
I disagree with you.I've seen Kobe on a "stacked" team, and he isn't as good of a player as Wade.
I didn't mean spectacular passes as in fancy passes. I meant it as difficult passes, or passes that put other players in a good position. And he probably does make fancier passes, which makes it even worse that he doesn't choose to play team ball because you know that he has all the ability in the world to do so.
You can find fault with Kobe's team play, but when it comes down to it, his team is just not that good.
As for Wade, he does alot of things that are not conducive to team-play. I can't tell you how many times Rip (who Wade was supposed to be guarding) scored b/c Wade is too busy whining at the other end about not getting a call. He also leaks out alot instead oftrying to rebounding which is why he's always miraculously on the other end to dunk if there's a turnover.
Point it, they both have their flaws.
Yes, basketball is a team sport, but i think Wade looks better b/c he just happens to be on a better team.
kobe is better at everything. whatever wade can do kobe can do better except rebounding. and even the rebounding is very close. kobe is helping "dwade" with his game this summer, not the other way around.
So Kobe plays as unselfish as Wade? News to me.
BTW, where did you hear that Kobe was helping Wade out this summer?
abc and espn. and wade said it himself, if that doesnt prove who the better player is then i dont know what does. unselfish? is wade unselfish because he averages 6 assists and kobe averages 4? because if thats your reasoning then your nuts.
That line of thinking comes from the fact that I already think Kobe is better than Wade. I am only adding the "3 rings" to the equation because I won't even compare him and kobe until he can get three rings. Don't read much into it.
Wade < Kobe
this whole argument is in crazy. seriously, anyone who thinks otherwise if in crazy. as it stands all you need to do for any sort of validation is compare their respective stats and surely you will see Wade is the victor. dont waste my goddamn time any further, please. thats all you are proving to be is a waste of in time. get real and get a clue and you will see that you are just being absolutely ridiculous.
yeah but stats dont mean anything. lebron has better overall stats then kobe also but do you think lebron is better than kobe? i hope not.
Please don't own yourself on this board. It can get ugly
http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/headToH...s&view=regular
or you can change WADE to KOBE
damn kobe owns wade more then i thought. where are all the dumb heat fans now? click this link and you will see how wrong all of you were.
If weren't for Dallas or any other team worrying about Shaq, there was no way Wade could have led his team to anything.
dude dont try to be a prick.. you want comparable stats..cool. i give you both age 24 statistics.. with the advantage going to kobe with more years in the league. here you go.. @ 24 kobe with 30 ppg on .451 fg shooting in 41.5 mins of action and 5.9 a.p.g with 6.9 r.p.g in 7 yrs in the nba at that stage in his career to wades 27.2 ppg in 38.6 mins pg on .495 shooting and 5.7 r.p.g nd 6.7 assists per game.. again i would much rather have dwayne 6 days a week and twice on sundays...
IMO those stats don't help your arguement at all.
Kobe > Wade
i wanna see what wade does without shaq before i crown him better than kobe. kobe is putting up all of these number while getting double and tripple teamed while wade is mostly being guarded by one person. when shaq is gone wade will need to shoot better then 17 percent from the three point line and learn how to guard somebody.
