Hey folks on the current team, is therea rule that it has to be 7 and 7?

Or can it have more guys than gals?

On the field, you cannot have more males than females.

There are also all-men recreational leagues there, too, if not enough girls want to play.

The reason I suggested 7 and 7 is so that you can have alternates in case people can't make it one week.

Each week 6 girls and 6 guys can play. (5 of each on the field and 1 of each as DH -- DH is not a sub for the pitcher, it's just an extra batter.)

Well I'm pretty sure Blaze won't play. He'll probably have a job in another city. So even if LJ plays, you'll have eight guys.

You could just field a Men's team instead of a co-ed team, but I don't know how hardcore those are.

Probably best to just try to recruit some girls.

I've watched some of the men's rec games while waiting for ours to start and they don't look any more hardcore than ours are ... there are the good and the bad.

You will probably rarely have to decide that. If you have seven or eight guys, probably most weeks only six of them will be there. People always have conflicts here and there.
