I can't wait to see Brooks throw a ball to his coach during a 4th Q drive!!
Actually in 98(Moss 1st season)The Vikes went 15 and 1 Robert Smith had 249 carries for 1187 yards and 6 td's. Leroy Hoard had 115 carries for 479 yards and 9 tds. They also had Cris Carter(78 rec 1011yrd 12 tds) In 99 they had similar numbers Carter let with 90 rec and 13tds that year. In 2000 Smith went for 1500 yds and Carter again led with 96 recs and Moss led with 15 tds. 01 they didnt have a consistent running game and Moss had over 100 reception after Carter left, But in 02 Mike Bennet had over 1200 yards rushing plush Culpepper had over 600 yards rushing. Those Viking teams were far from one dimensional on Offense and they had a very good O line unlike the raiders. Brooks will be running for his life all season long.

If the coach catches it will he be credited with a completion?![]()
I love my Saints, but they cut AB for a damned good reason. FYI-He hurt his hand on Saturday. I know the man and he's a good guy but that doesn't mean he'll pull a team out of a dumpster.
Oh, please try and speak English on the forum. I speak Ebonics at work everyday but do I really have to do it here?

ing hilarious
The funny thing is, if I recall, I saw a stat last year during a game showing that since 2001, Aaron Brooks has like 17 comeback wins, which led the NFL, since 2001. it may have been passed now though, cuz that was shown early in the season.
Excuse me, but what in the did you just say? I speak English with a bit of Tex-Mex and a tad of regional ebonics thrown in, but WTF did you just say?
Oh yeah. You can bet we'll go round and round at the end of this thread. I'm picking your ass off post by post.
When I say I know AB, you need to trust me. I love him and he's a great guy. But, he isn't going to change the face of Arrakis anytime soon.
Yo, the Judson clan can pick off the fake ebonics. LMFAO!!!!!
I like Aaron Brooks. He's a really super guy. Really. You have to trust me on that. But, unles he has the best o-line in the NFL, it won't matter if Moss, T.o. (super -up), Rice, and every sigle receiver in the NFL is out there for him. It won't connect.
Not really, dude. Aaron has one of the longest throws in the NFL. He just needs someone to get under it and make a play. He REALLY is a bad-assed QB. He won several QB compe ions in a row. He doesn't suck. This lame-assed ebonic guy sucks.
Now, Butta.......that was just plain mean. You need to apologize.![]()
You going to check out Judson and Wagner this year? Judson is still 5A and Wagner is 4A, but I heard they were going to get it on at the $900,000 Judson in-fill extravaganza facility. I just transfered my kid to Clemens yesterday. They play Wagner at Judson on Sept. 8th. . I had a concert scheduled that night.![]()
I may go to a game or two Im not sure. Where did you graduate from?
Im from c/o 95. I still cant believe its divided, it will never be the same.
Dude, my dad was coaching at Judson while I graduated from Clemens. Imagine the in-house fighting there. BUT, by sister was 3 years younger than I, I was at Incarnate Word getting my BA, but she was dating the QB at Judson in 1982. Judson lost to Beaumont-French in Semi-Finals that year, but all the guys wowed to take State in 83.
They did.
I left Clemens for Judson in 83. That State Champ of 83 was the best they ever won. Well maybe 2002 was the best kick ass ever. 7 seconds left and Coach Jetter called my play.
I've taught there for years. But, I did just transfer my kid to Clemens 2 days ago. She's going to be 1st clarinet in band her freshman year. Clemens only has 1500 kids vs 5000 at Judson. Too much going on there, you know what I mean? I'm a parent first and a teacher/coach second.
Thats cool, my ex neighbor (next door to my mom's house) was a member of that '83 state champs team. I was just a youngen but I remember that one well. I was there when Jerrod Douglas was there. That dude was bad in HS but just fizzled out at Baylor. I think he was too small. We won state 3 years out of the four I was there. I still run into people that I didnt even know in high school. My graduating class was 756.
yea, i dont think Aaron Brooks sucks at all. I think he is one of the most talented QBs in the league. he just forces throws too often. i think he has a chance to really thrive with the Raiders. hopefully that line holds up for him. i think he has a chance to do some great thing with Oakland. maybe not playing for the Saints will help. nothing against them, i like the saints, but it just seems like everything always goes wrong for them. i really feel bad for the franchise. wasnt it a few years ago, that Kyle Turley ripped some guy's helmet off, which put them out of FG range in the last game of the year, and they ended up losing, and missing the playoffs because of that? then last year, with Hurricane Katrina and all those distractions... but they could be really good this year. they have a solid team, possibly the best offense in the NFL. it will be interesting.
Jerrod got me my cell phone deal that is SO SWEET! He is such a sweetie. I feel bad about what happened his 1st year out, especailly because Clemens did the accusing against Judson. His mom got a job at Judson and took her boys there. Nothing wrong with that. Courts proved it.
Yeah, I always got scared about Jerrod taking hits. He was a skinney little kid. He did grow up to be a good size, though. His years at Baylor could have been better, but he did ok. I'm still very proud of him.
Dude, have you ever been on Baylor's football field? I have...several times including the 3 plays I called against Lewisville in 96 during the State Game. Was that it? Yeah, we were down 3 TDs, right before the half, so I stormed out of the stands to the sidelines and called 2 TD plays with an onside kick between to close the gap. It worked, too. 14 points in less than 3 minutes, using the same damned play 2 times in a row.
Anyway, I loved my time with Judson, calling plays at State games, coaching kids not to fumble for their remaining careers, in the hallway outside of our English class, and .... ....just being on the sidelines screaming advice.
Back to Baylor's field...............imagine a giant pillow-top mattress. That baby bounced like no other field I've ever been on. And I've been on them all. Texas Stadium sucks like you cannot believe.
Happiest years of my life. Things like that don't happen for a girl too often.
Aaron is a killer QB. He has one of the longest releases in the NFL. At some point in time, one must place coaches in line for/lack when recievers don't get to their marks. NOLA LOVED to blame AB or everything that ed up. Seriously tho....guys who are supposed to catch a long-armed bomb have to do their jobs. Ah.... o.
how were you able to call plays and go onto the field? Was it just because you were faculty?
His leadership skills have to be the biggest question, can he keep Moss from throwing a fit if he is not getting the ball. Its proven that he can throw with accuracy to his primary WR, see Joe Horn's #'s. The guy did get NO to the playoffs and had to deal with a pretty weak coaching staff. I dont think he alone is the answer for Oak, but he will give them a chance to win some games if he can be an effective leader.
look like training camp goin good so u guys better hope they get injured or seomthin cuz they gonna go hard dis year
yea, if he learns to bomb it deep to Moss, like culpepper used to, they will be fine. im sure hes smart enough to know that, unlike Kerry Collins. he just sucked.
oh, and great pic. mr sandman was my favorite character. aside from Mike Tyson, he was always the hardest opponent to me for some reason.
LOL I liked Soda Popinski.
Charger to Saint fan.............how are the two San Diego boys looking at your camp?
I wish the best to Brees and Bush.
I was saddened to see Brees leave. If only he hadn't played that last meaningless game that ed up his shoulder.![]()
haha, yea. mike tysons punchout was awesome.
Yeah. I just love how the Raiders replaced Kerry Collins...with a more inconsistent version of Kerry Collins. That should be the difference maker.
Raiders' first team was owned by the Eagles' first team last week. They didn't even look like they belonged in the same zip code. Forgive me if I don't fall for the hype.
