No shorts at Northside, except for PE, athletics, and other extracurricular stuff, e.g., shorts for marching band practice. Yes, it's hot, but otherwise you have girls with shorts up to their crotches and boys with shorts hanging from their knees.

I used to be a school principal out here in Cali, but I got tired of it. I was so sick of the girls coming to school half naked all the time, and it seems like they weren't following the infraction system very well. They didn't like when I gave them hefty infractions, so they ignored them.
So basically, I was owned, so I quit my job. My principal years are way behind me.
It's been happening since the beginning of time. Girls grow breasts, guys notice them. Covered up or not they are still there and if some anal administrator thinks that's going to make any difference then he/she needs to get his/her head out of his/her ass. I saw the story on last night's news and cracked up when I saw some old dude pull out a ruler and start measuring 4" down from the neck. That's a sexual harassment lawsuit waiting to happen. These teachers whipping out these rulers and actually touching the chests of these teens...

First, I'd like to point out this needs to be addressed first with the middle schoolers... now that is freaking sick the way some of them dress. Highschool, to me, seems to be getting worse and worse at both the rediculous stuff the kids get away with and the rediculous rules to try and stop it.
I say quit ing around and put it back on the parents. Kid shows up and ANYONE in authority who thinks they are dressed inapropriately the kid is sent home automatically AND it counts as an absense (the ones where if you have to many you need to make it up on weekends or you will not advance to next grade and/or graduate). If it continues, expell the ers. Dont make bull rules that punish everyone because believe it or not there actually ARE some kids who can follow the rules if they are fair.
for the record I graduated in 98 so no, Im not in highschool, and could care less either way

It's getting harder and harder for kids to find clothes to wear to middle/high school. I agree with phyzik.. there are kids who can follow the rules if they are fair, but this is getting out of hand. Factor in the heat in San Antonio.... there were days I wanted to go to school in my underwear!

I had to find my daughter khaki pants for middle school ... and 95% of the ones I could find had about 6 inches of material in the seat of them ... that would allow enough ass crack to do even the nastiest plumber proud. I still don't understand how this came into fashion ... I guess the girls that wear them don't ever sit down.
I had a really hard time finding her anything cute but respectable....I was so frustrated by the time we left I was ready to murder someone. So yeah, it is hard to find young girls clothes that mom & daughter can both be happy with. Trust me ... I have practical experience in this area. Or do you regularly go shopping in the Junior's department?
And before the "you are the parent and she is the kid and they do whatever you tell them to do" lecture starts, when they start becoming young adults you're going to need to learn how to compromise or you are going to have kids that hate your ing guts and your life will be pretty damn miserable. And while that's okay for some, it's not okay for me.
