Nazr's stats will be better, because Flip will give him more, and more consistent, playing time. He won't be getting yanked for not being in defensive position.

Exactly, we've lost out on some great offseason opportunities because we had to locate a desperate needed tall guy(s).

WAC, subject to terms and conditions, with ttl. *Notice talent wasn't mentioned.

    No that's Rasho 2nd game

Raptors also played monday against the Wizards:

    Rasho - Rasho Nesterovic, C 13 0-5 0-0 0-0 2 1 3 0 0 0 1 3 0
at Rasho. I always thought Rasho was a scrub. Nazr though can help a team as he's proven in some regular season games last year. Maybe inconsistent but he is capable of getting it done in Detroit.

I think Nazr will do a decent job for Detroit. Except, he always seemed like he was missing something. He showed flashes of a good game the year before, and in the regular season this year he had some pretty legitimately good games.
But his butterfingers would snap you back to reality as in, "yeah, this guy isn't gonna get any better. Upgrade timeee..."

...and yet I'm still waiting for that upgrade.

Not to get too excited too soon, however it's quite possible Nazr could out-produce both Elson and Oberto this season.

it's not only possible, it's 99% likely to happen. , throw in blubber boy from the knicks as well. narz will out-produce all three. and once again pop's coaching deficiencies will be exposed to the world.

    Fixed.

Samaki Walker had a preseason back in 1999 where he put up numbers like that every game. That turned out great.
I think Samaki got a couple of rings, eh?

I don't understand the hate for Nazr, he will be a decent player in Detroit, obviously no Ben Wallace, but better than Elson
My thoughts exactly. Stone hands and pump fakes aside, I don't see how the Spurs are better off this year at the 5 spot than they were last year.

Granted the Spurs are better off financially, but certainly not from a sheer production standpoint - unless of course, Timmy moves to the 5 spot full time.

I can only hope Elson/Oberto/Butler make me eat my words

Why is nobody posting Rasho's preseason stats?
We keep our Rasho discussions in the NBA forum where they belong.
