Don't know if you've ever heard these guys before, but check them out, its a very interesting CD.

Fat Freddy's Drop- "Based on a True Story"

They're a reggae band out of New Zealand and are pretty sweet. If anything, just download their first song off of itunes "Ernie" and then decide from there. This song is a jam.

I just picked up King Tubby meets Jacob Miller in a Tenament Yard. Wow. I've only been able to find it on itunes though. These two together are amazing.

whatever you do, stay away from Jacob Miller's Natty Christmas album except for comedy's sake...

if you haven't heard it, i would recommend Lee Perry's Who put the Voodoo pon Reggae, and listening to Mad Professor's dub of it called Dub Take the Voodoo out of Reggae after.

Now I guess you'd technically classify this as hiphop, but Martinez goes far beyond that boundary. And don't sleep on this album if you don't like hiphop, seriously, my mom digs more than a few songs on this album. This album has sooooooo many great songs, and the way Josh presents them is addicting. You will be caught up in his style of delivery instantly. Give it a listen and let me know what you think. Again, do not sleep on music of this quality.
