Well prior to today, Horry was pretty much useless this season. Hopefully this game is start of good things for him. I really thought that maybe he had lost his shot completely because he's looked old and horrible. It's not like in prior years when he's just looked lazy early in the season. This year was different.
Tonight he was fabulous though.
Elson kept the Spurs within striking distance while everyone else on the Spurs sucked.
Horry and Beno led the comeback.
Manu put the Rockets away.
And Tim did some stuff too
Yeah he was sucking in the first half, but he rebounded well (and rebounded well).
Yeah, so what's his allowed ratio? 1 good game in 7? Before this game he had been putrid. In fact, I'd venture to say those were probably the worst six consecutive games of his career.

The same way Horry found his shot, Finley will follow. These guys are too good of a shooter to simply "forget" how to get it done.

I'm still not entirely happy with his shooting. Other than the occasional foul line jumper, his shot isn't smooth, the banker is still gone, and the post moves directly in front of the basket are awkward.
Still, his % and scoring are back up to his MVP years.
Robert Horry led the Spurs to victory tonight.
Matt Bonner sucks. They need to waive his ass yesterday.
Other than his shooting, Horry has been pretty good this year. His rebounding has been good and he's been playing hard. Now if he can continue to knock down a shot here and there and keep up the rebounding, he'll fill his role nicely.
At one point tonight he was 4-for-13 I think. That's why in my brain he didn't stand out so much, though I know he played well in the 4th and rebounded nicely. I think he'll average 23/12 and above 50% this season.
But wouldn't they still have to pay him???
I agree. The people who are saying that he is kaput have not been paying attention to anything other than his shot not falling. He's still moving around pretty well and I'm not seeing any significant decline in his step.
If the only problem is his shot and not a big decline in athleticism, there is no reason to think that he won't come around.
Finley can still run with the pups and his elevation is about where it has been the past couple years, so I'm not in panic mode over him yet either.

Horry's D has been good all season. Even tho he wasnt drainin shots, he was far from useless. His shot will start fallin soon. Hopefully today was a start of sumfin!

I dont care what ANYONE says..... NEVER count Horry out as long as he is willing to play. He will find a way to contribute when it matters, and thats all I ask from him at this point in his career.
i like horry, but the spurs probably could do alot better at the backup position.
I agree wholeheartedly, but dont ever doubt the mans contributions.... He will drive a dagger straight in the opponents heart as soon as they do.... And look like a stonecold killer doing it.
BTW Sequ, I know I've been talking about that Gervin jersey for a while, hopefully I can make it to the next GTG with my new schedule, if your'e not there I will leave it with someone who knows you if you still want it.
