    Well at least Shank shows up during the humiliating periods as well.

    I think the Mavs might beat Phoenix since the Suns aren't exactly tearing it up right now either and the Mavs are a better defensive team who can run with them...probably Portland, but I actually see them having trouble with the Bulls and the desperate Grizzlies...

    If they lose to the Suns it's entirely possible that the Mavs could start out @1-7 on the season.

    I'd like to see the over/under for Mavs going 1-7.... I think its more likely then people hope it will be.

    After the PR crybaby antics the Mavericks pulled last year throughout the enitre playoffs, even though they are not the champs, everyone wants to destroy them.

    On a side note, even though I've been at this site for 2 years I think Im finally going to break 1000 posts before season-end

    Eh we almost had em. The Mavs are fine they just need to make their ing shots. This game was for the Mavs to win and they just couldnt get it done. Tonight against the Suns we will win. The mavs are PISSED and they are gonna rape the living out of Phoenix tonight 111-90 . This is just going through the motions we will be fine. Dirk is a superstar who is going to motivate this team and we will be fine no worries here. To our first win of the season tonight against the weak Suns!

    This goes a lot deeper than the Mavs "needing to hit their shots." They've fallen into the worst of their old habits- namely failing to play for 48 minutes and relying on jumpers in crunch time. The few times they tried to take it to the rim it seemed like they had an easy enough time at it that I don't understand why they weren't doing it a lot more. This isn't just any old finals hangover. This is a wake up on someone's lawn in nothing but your shoes and underwear, ting crude oil, puking everything you ate last month, feels like Renaldo is kicking you in the temple kind of a hangover.
