Unforunately, I don't see them beating Nevada.
"You shouldn't be in the NCG if you can't even win your own conference."
Such a silly argument. For one, Notre Dame is an independent and doesn't even have a conference. Shouldn't they be held to the same standard as all the other teams who do play in conferences?
Two, it is plausible to have two undefeated B10 teams at the end of the season. The B10 winner is determined by a coin flip in that scenario. Say UW had beaten UofM and won the coin toss against OSU, becoming B10 champs. Do we tell OSU that they can't go because they didn't win their conference?
Until the independents are forced to join a conference and there is a championship game in each conference, the "didn't even win your own conference" argument holds no water.
Unforunately, I don't see them beating Nevada.
How can a trojan not beat a beaver?
There's no punchline. It's not a joke. Just a question.
...well we shall find out in 3 days!!! can't wait to beat the Irish AGAIN.
USC will roll over Notre Dame yet again, and big fat tub of goo will cry yet again. He can grow the grass long again next year.

read this.
well, now the only team in our way is UCLA! in interesting fact about the Michigan vs. notre dame: notre dame had 5 turnovers to michigan's 1. in the USC vs. notre dame: notre dame had 1 turnover to USC's 2, plus notre dame blocked a punt. you can't beat a bad team with 5 turnovers, let alone Michigan.
1. USC beat better teams
2. USC has more team speed
3. in the only common opponent, notre dame got more breaks against USC and still got whipped...in a game that was also later in the season
...but, you don't have to agree with me on that. cause all USC has to do is beat UCLA and THEY ARE IN! ha ha.
Ohio State vs USC for the National Championship.
Well done USC.
...if, we beat UCLA.
1. they are a rival
2. they are playing good ball right now
Didn't I read somewhere that a UCLA DB died in a car accident earlier this week?
This was the first time I've really paid much attention to USC this year....
Definitely way better than they get credit for.
My hunch is they were similar to UT(before Colt got hurt) in that they are a lot better now than they were at the beginning of the season.
They took Notre Dame out to the woodshed...
Now the coach for ND probably coached the crappiest game I have ever seen from a football coach, and ND had nothing remotely resembling a running game, but still...based on the way they played against ND I have to say I think SC is capable of taking Ohio State out.
I personally wouldn't mind that as a UT fan because that would mean the only team that beat them straight up for a championship in this stretch of domination was UT....and it was arguably their most talented, dominant and deepest team that UT beat.
not bad....and they ARE capable of taking out ohio state, but i won't be looking towards that matchup until we beat UCLA. that game could be tough!
yes. but i think he graduated last year. he was the guy reggie bush hurdled in the game last year.
Just like Whottt, I haven't been paying too much attention to USC but they impressed me, and Notre Dame dissapointed me, and are playing very good ball. Ohio State's secondary will have to bring their A game.
It will be a great game and party.
