you can't be serious. there is no way in ing the dallas mavericks have a 50 win season sans dirk. no. the atlanta hawks would have a better shot at a le run than a successful team with damp, j.ho and the jet. new york knicks would have a better season probably. goes to show just how dilusional mavs fans really are. this post was pretty amusing. without dirk, the mavs would be the doormat of the nba... again
So, you are saying that Dirk is an MVP type, Top 5 player in this league? A 20 win difference maker (from 40-45 wins to around 60-65)?

no. way to read into things. dirk is a soft, no heart player who puts up numbers (except in the finals or pressured moments). thats all i said. oh, and that the mavs would be the laughing stock of the nba without him.

You can't have your cake and eat it too, Dirk is either soft and wouldn't affect a teams wins that much, or he would affect the wins and he can handle being smacked around every game by no-talent hacks like Ricky Davis up until they blur his vision.

I guess it sucks to look at the Kings roster and realize that there isn't anyone that would affect your record at all if they died, one way or another they suck.

Ok...so Mavs fans can brag about having been to the Finals because the Kings haven't but we can't brag about having won three rings since the Mavs haven't? That makes a lot of sense Mavs fans.

You don't see the difference? If I was to come up to you and say the Spurs haven't done , they're a ty team, they'd be a tier team without Duncan then you have every right to laugh in my face, point out the season record and your three rings. However, to talk about your three rings while your getting your ass beat (Friday night) is a different matter...no one is telling you that your team is ty or that they haven't done , but you ramble on about the three rings when you're losing as a coping mechanism, which is fine...but weak.

That's like saying the Spurs are still a Dallas team because they used to be the Dallas Chaparrals. Kings have been in Sacto twenty years, that should be the timeline used for playoff appearances, everything else is just trivia fodder.

This is ridiculous logic. It's like those people who ignore NFL championships before the Super Bowl came along. Teams like Cleveland and Philadelphia won numerous championships before the Super Bowl was introduced, but everyone conveniently forgets this because they only believe Super Bowls are the only things that count, which is pure bull .

It's funny how the young generation always ignores history when it suits their purpose.

Fact is, the Kings organization does have a le whether you like it or not. It is what it is.

I'm sure Maverick fans would pull a 1951 le out of their hat, if they were around then to serve their purpose in an argument like this. Am I right or am I right?

I don't think that's a good example, because Dallas has a separate and independent franchise from San Antonio. Rochester doesn't have an NBA team and it's the same franchise that moved, as far as I know. As for a twenty-year timeline, that seems arbitrary.

On topic, good to know that Nowitzki seems to be ok. That would be a scary thing to have happen.

Wrong. Why would anyone brag about a 50 year old le? Current NBA player's dads probably weren't old enough to play basketball.

But going by this logic, Celtic's fans could come in here and tear all of us a new asshole. Am I right or am I right?

That did not answer my question. Why is it ok for you guys to brag about being in the Finals, which technically happened in the past because the Mavs aren't currently in the Finals, to a fan whose team hasn't been in the finals when it's wrong for us to brag about winning three rings (in the past) to you guys, whose team has not won any? Answer me that.

A le is still a le, regardless of when it was won.
