Manu is a winner. period. Everybody says it. He has won wherever he has gone. Take him away from the Spurs and you are :
a. dealing a major blow to the team's collective killer instict and ability to execute down the strech (intangible)
b. eliminating a lot of the allure that the Spurs have now for FAs (a whole country is behind this guy. this makes good players want to come here more, despite the fact that we are a small market team)
c. getting rid of a bona fide clutch shooter
d. ripping part of the heart and soul from the team (a la malik rose trade).
Trading Manu = Pistons letting Ben Wallace go. He may not be our best stats guy at this point, but he is the Spurs.
