Shut the up you argument-changing piece of ... "Mavs are arguably the best team in the West" is one of your catchphrases...
Seems like you're the one changing the argument. Saying the Mavs are the best team in the west is saying they're the best team ever? How bad does your vagina ache?

You're a Mavs fan - you thought the league was formed in 2000 and have been watching basketball only 6 years, so it's logical you would think this 6th-ranked team in the West would be the best team ever. You make some sweeping arguments about the "state of the game," and how "defense is key to winning championships." It's really funny you make those statements because your team hasn't ever won a championship and I don't see that happening any time soon with this current squad. You say that in the 80s, "teams played more physically and no star was given preferential treatment" but you have a "star" (I use that term loosely) on your team who gets some of the most preferential treatment in the league... I guess it's just that blasted "bear-hug" defense though... You and the rest of your city suddenly calling out Dwayne Wade was one of the most hypocritical events I've ever seen in June.

I'm not changing your argument - I'm just reading between the lines and hoping finally to draw it out of you. It's very ironic that during this period of us bashing each other that you've completely changed your tune and there's no more of this, "Mavs own Spurs," "Mavs are the best in the West," "Anthony Johnson is a key player" bull coming out of your mouth. Unfortunately, you'll probably win tonight because Odom is out and the Lakers are coming off a B2B, and that Mavs loving will start all over again.

I love how you give me an essay like this all the time when it's really just a bunch of that doesn't mean a thing.

I've never said the Mavs were the best team ever, nor came close. If you could find where I said this, I'd love to see it.

Sometimes I post when I'm drunk and make grand generalizations... but one thing we can agree upon: when the Mavs were on their little 12-game streak you were always posting on here and applauding how great they are and how much better they are with these "new pieces" such as Johnson and Croshere and George and how they were "arguably" the best in the West. You're not arguing too much now that they've been stomped by Detroit and Utah and are 6th in the West.

Lmao at this dumbass calling the mavs the "6th best team in the west." They may be 6th in standings, but they are at least top 2 when it comes down to who the better teams are. There should be an age limit on this forum.

Yeah yeah yeah, they're 6th in west. They'll be higher by the end of the season. The suns are #4. Are they better than the mavs?

Yeah, "new pieces". This year's mavs team >> last year's mavs team

No, there's plenty of reasons - including all of the fans that post on here and the rest that cheer at the Fox & Hound in College Station and yet know nothing about the rest of the NBA beyond the "metroplex." Oh, and I hate Plano kids.

And yes, I do hate the Mavs players - Dirk for complaining and flopping and "leading" by screaming at his players but never admitting that he choked in the Finals; Terry for a lot of things (punching in the nuts, eating "some form of chicken" before the game, and for going to U of A); Devin Harris for never committing a blocking foul and whining; Stackhouse for being Stack (including flagrant fouls, looking like a caveman, being a general asshole); Josh Howard for thinking he and Dwayne Wade will "cancel each other out" in the Finals, and his general monkey nature; Devean George for his former presence on the Lakers; Avery Johnson for pulling out all the stops in coach ing ("bear-hug" 'nuff said); Cuban for only pointing out flaws in the NBA "system" when it negatively impacts his precious Mavs (I used to think he was good for the NBA as a whole, but now he's just become a whiny, blogging, sending videos to the league ).

There are a lot of reasons... and they increased once I moved to Texas because I've already hated the city of Dallas and the Cowboys for years, but the increase in hype that surrounds this sligthly above-average Mavs team has only aggravated my feelings of disgust.

Funny thing is, even though the Suns are #4, I never said they were "better than the Mavs" or "arguably the best in the West." I'm not putting too much stock in this win streak over mediocre opponents, unlike you, who put waaaaayyy too much stock in a win streak that included two wins against MEMPHIS!

I want to see how the rest of the seaon plays out: Amare's progress, switch to new ball, rematches with Mavs, Lakers, Spurs, and Jazz before I make any statements about the future of the Suns' season and post-season. I still think this Suns team can beat the Mavs in a 7-game series if you want me to make any kind of future prediction.

I'm an Arizona State fan - we hate players from the University of Arizona... and a Plano kid is a rich-ass, drug-using, fairweather fan.

Oh yeah - by far... apparently, superfan #41 over there doesn't even know what we're talking about.

Ok, dirk4mvp - how about I hate Terry for carrying the ball all the time, being as un-clutch as Dirk, and for making that stupid puckered lip face when he hits any shot in the 4th quarter.

Kind of... if they hadn't let Houston back into it, the Lakers would have been more rested. But Odom was the key - the Lakers give up 11 ppg more (109) since 04-05 when Odom is out of the line-up... Mavs got 110 tonight...

Terry's hit more game winning shots than anybody on the suns.

Plano is a suburb of Dallas, dumbass (typical of your kind though - like a Mavs fan doesn't know much about the NBA at-large, how can I expect one to know more about the metropolitan area outside of American Airlines Center?).

I guess by "hitting more game-winning shots than anyone on the Suns," you're ignoring his Game 6 choke-fest in the Finals and Nash's huge night in New Jersey. It's easy for the Suns to avoid game winners when they're blowing teams out (not giving Sloan his 1,000 in a landslide in Utah).

Sidenote from that game: I love how Mavs fans say they get a lot of assists on their baskets because they play a slower, half-court game with post-ups. No one plays more ball-control offense than Jerry Sloan and the Jazz hit 38 FGs on 24 assists against you. But I guess JET was hitting "too many big shots" that game to dish out any assists...

You can hate or like any of the Mavs for all I care. I do, however, think its immature and childish to hate them for the reasons you listed. Personally, I can't really hate players. I don't know them well enough to know if why I hate them is really true. Thats like me saying I hate Tim Duncan because he gets every call in the book or I don't like his haircut and caveman beard (your comment about Stack??). Its not his fault if he is a good player and I wouldn't mind having him on my team.

I just think you sounded very immature saying you hate Jason Terry because he eats chicken, and Josh for his "monkey nature", whatever that means. How can you possibly hate Avery Johnson? You hate everyone that has ever said something you didn't agree with? Deaven George just because he used to play for the Lakers? Guess that means you hate Robert Horry and the entire Laker team for that matter. Dirk for calling out teammates and never admitting he choked? Really. Yeah he called them out 2 years ago but I believe he has more than owned up to failing in the finals through multiple interviews asking the same questions about whether it still hurts or not. I don't get it. You sound like a little kid who doesn't like something just cuz he doesn't have it. Nut-punching...ok thats a decent reason especially if you are a guy. But...the next time you lose your temper, think about everyone who should "hate" you going by your guidelines.

Guess I just really don't understand hating someone unless they actually did something to you personally. Hating someone you don't know, much less met in real life, just childish. It is what it is....just hating.

Well, the question is, then, where do you live? It's only one of the largest and most popular suburbs of ville - sorry, I mean Dallas - so how does the guy from Phoenix and Houston know about it? I've never been there either, pal.

Yeah, I pretty much do know everything... it puts you at a disadvantage.

There's really only one way to settle this - a game of one-on-one, except you'd probably call as many fouls as Dirk does. Maybe we'll have to play Trivial Pursuit or something... that'll be a quick game.

I was just asking if you lived in Dallas or not - wondering if you were some kind of north Texas bandwagon jumper like from Longview or Tyler or Amarillo. You sure you win at one-on-one? Be truthful - what's your basketball experience and your height/weight? I'm just curious here. I don't know about Tekken - maybe NBA Jam.

I don't live in Dallas. currently playing hs varsity. 6'3"-6-4" and like 175-180 lbs.

NBA Jam? Rack me up a W.
