I went through Switzerland too on my way to Italy. From what I saw from the airport for three hours while waiting it was very pretty and of course there's a huge mall in there so that does it for me. Just don't fall into that water in Venice. If people think the San Antonio River is dirty the water over there is three times as bad.
All i remember about Switzerland was when I was 10 years old, my sister had to pull me off the chair lift because I was too scared to get off. Broke my thumb, too.
I loved Switzerland when I went there...there was parts around that were places where you could live in the mountains with the snow and have a peaceful quiet life. it was great.
Italy was even better though...all the women in Rome were absolutely gorgeous. My jaw dropped at how incredible looking they were.
On business in Europe? man, what company do you work for? Any openings available?
TPark, where is my wine that I won from you???
Does anyone ever pay off debts in this forum????
A nice wine from Italy would suffice.
Does anyone ever pay off debts in this forum????
Im on the Duff plan.
Im in Amsterdam one day early, Italy is a total hole.
People are complete pricks, you can't get anything done, socialism has asolutely ruined that country.
Italy. Long live The Netherlands.
Amsterdam is awesome! Check out Teasers. It's a fun place. Have fun in the red light district!
No offense dude, but did you ever think maybe they just didn't like YOU?
Italy is not nor has it ever been a socialist country.
Italy is one of the 7 most developped (rich) industrial countries in the world so I suppose they have to get things done once in a while. I will agree that the work discipline in Italy is somewhat unique, I have never perceived them as pricks or even unfriendly. Have you ever allowed for the possibility that you're part of the problem?
I hope you finished what you came over to do - it would be a shame to fail just because of a difference of character. Btw I hope you had a good interpreter (or that you speak Italian) because that's a given for doing business in Italy (and a few other countries too).
Anyway if you need any assistance for doing business in Italy, I have quite a few good business contacts in that country - just let me know.
Edit:
P.S. And you're awfully quick (again) trashing a whole nation based on a 2 day visit...
I guess the guy that lived there for 12 years has no idea what hes talking about.Italy is not nor has it ever been a socialist country.
The rules saying that gas stations have to all charge the same amount of money for gas, ordered by the govt?
Thats not socialist what so ever.
No offense taken from a prick like you.No offense dude, but did you ever think maybe they just didn't like YOU?
Damn, I'm glad I'm not a small, gorgeous european nation.
If thats your rationale for calling Italy a socialist nation then when will you be flying back to the Socialist States of America?
I hope you enjoy Europe, Tpark. Even if they probably don't enjoy you.
Italians Rule!
I guess my ancestors are socialists...
My guess is that Tpark's government classification education comes from Fox News.
Do they have Target in Italy?
Yes, it's called Destinazione
Tpark is pissed because this guy gets cheap gas and didn't want to help him out.

If that's his claim I guess not.
First of all I'm still waiting for someone to explain me what socialism is. As a political system it doesn't exist. The only definition I could ever find is a socialist agenda or political program - that hardly makes any country socialist - it can only make a government socialist, the same way your government is either democrat or republican. Which means that if they're in charge they are so by the will of the people who voted for them.
If that's the standard, then there's a lot of those socialists in the world on both sides of the Atlantic. Oh and btw, why don't you ask your knowledgeable friend why are gas prices in the Venezia Friuli Julia region of Italy different from the rest of the country. You might be surprised to find out it's the results of a specific market situation. The rules saying that gas stations have to all charge the same amount of money for gas, ordered by the govt?
Thats not socialist what so ever.
And finally gas prices are regulated in many countries (and highly taxed) for reasons that I'm not going to explain in here, but the main rational behind it is that gas is a national commodity and part of the national infrastructure similar to roads, water supply or electric power. The way we handle those in Europe is fundamentally different from what you do in the US - but I didn't know we were required to do things the way you do.
TPark you are a visitor over here - behave like one.
I hope you get laid in Amsterdam, maybe you'll lighten up a bit.
Please don't ever do back.
You are exactly the type of American I get ridiculed about when I go there.
Thanks.
And judging an entire country after two days is like people judging you solely based on your picture. Oh, the irony.
