Since Christmas day ... it's like 400ft long X 80ft high or some crazy like that. Apparently it would burn for a year if left untended.![]()
Am I to understand that HUGE pile of mulch caught fire (judging by the YouTube link) and that said fire still burns today?
How long has it been burning?

In the dry summer months half the forests in the state of New Mexico seem to catch on fire. The mountains here block the smoke from blowing out, so my city is covered in a brown haze every year during the fire season.
And you know what? WE ENJOY IT!!
Quit being such pussies and go roast some marshmellows or something.
Wear onions on your belts too?
I smelled it in Boerne this morning. Took me a few seconds of wondering WTF that smell was before it dawned on me.
With the wind supposedly blowing out of the north tomorrow, my running buddy at Bandera/1604 is going to be hating life.
Hot. Flat. Mulchy.
Me too.
S y, you and I live close enough to it that we should get on the lawsuit action if there is any.
Seriously, I went out just now around Bandera/1604 and it wasn't very bad. I had to breathe really deep before I noticed it. So it's weird that Stone Oak-ers can smell it so strong.
But people from Stone Oak about everything![]()
Yeah, unlike those southsiders.![]()
RACK that .![]()

Yea, well, our gripe quota is directly proportional to our property values compared to the rest of the city.
ing white people. Nut up. The Spurs are playing the Mavericks. the fire.
If necessary.
Then there were those six years that I walked to my high school everyday. It was six miles, uphill in each direction. My buddy, little Billy McCoy, didn't have any legs so I'd carry him to school in my backpack.
The smoke never bothered me.
Then again I'm a freaking stud.
Yes, yes you are.
*swoons*
Helotes has enough problems! I think I've heard more about Helotes in the past year than in the 10 years I lived here.
Bob said he could really smell it when he got on the freeway this morning.
I may have to take my walks with a gas mask from now on.
Thank you gorgeous!
My two favorite ladies posted right after I did. Takes me back to the pre-devil days when the three of us would partake in a thoroughly enjoyable Chopper Sandwich.
I miss those days.![]()
If you didn't get it, it was a joke because of the whole HUD housing thing. So keep your frickin' rolling eyes to yourself.
i had to wait for SW to post, so it was another chopper sammich....
Are you guys closer to Braun or Bandera?
I bet the mulch can be traced back to poor people.
Kori got in right between you and SW.
I think I had a dream about that once.
Now I'm starting to swoon.
