Mental cases can thrive in the right situation, but Jack's contract is mighty large.
One of the mediocre franchises in the NBA was desperate to get rid of him. You think he'd shine in San Antonio? The guy is a mental case.
WTF?
Mental cases can thrive in the right situation, but Jack's contract is mighty large.
what, are you more concerned with what goes on in a strip club or what happens on the court?
WTF?
What does he do on the court? Miss bad shots, refuse to pass, play bad defense, not rebound, rack up technical fouls?
You'd think this were a decent ex-Spur like Speedy Claxton or Antonio Daniels we were talking about instead of a bum like Jackson.
Are we talking about Beno now??![]()
Yeah, except Beno has $2.7 million left on his contract over two years, and Jackson has more than ten times that much over four.
Beno isn't nearly as good a scorer as Jackson, although if you gave him 12 shots a game he could probably hit 40% of them. He's a better passer than Jackson. He's also a slightly better rebounder than Jackson, which is pathetic.

ok... oh smart ones... who in the f are you going to get that can put up 20 a night, who goes to church every sunday, who attends every charity event and who will guarantee that this team will win the next 10 championships? I mean wtf? The Spurs have at least 5 bags on this team that could be waived today and have no effect on the win loss column...
but everytime someone throws out an idea, all i hear is about mental this mental that... missing shots,.... blah blah blah... un fing real.
DRobs son in 10 years?
Segu- you don't understand. Jackson is not a good player ON THE COURT. He no longer wins games. You're stupid with stats.
Sjax playing alongside Parker, Manu and duncan would be awesome again.
Stats don't mean when you play for the ty pacers.
It's worthless arguing with you. Go call Buford and try to explain it to him.
c. magg is a better fit for the spurs than s. jax. i don't think the spurs would ever consider bringing in jax again...but, stranger things have happened in the universe
hmmm.... i just might have a few connections.
You do have a point. Environment accounts for a lot in a players performace. I just don't know if SA has the right environment for Jax like they did in 2003.
Agreed. That team is going to be all that and a bag of Doritos. Watch out for the new version of the 01 Sacto Kings.
Whats funny is that right after I read this, I thought: "there's no way they would intend to keep Jack for long. Who could possibly want such a player?" Then I thought the same thing as this next quote.
Spurs FO is likely to make a trade off the coattails of a blockbuster like this. I could see them moving Barry and Beno + cash for Jax or some crap like that.
Oh dear God please No.
Warriors gave up great players who did a lot of damage to the Spurs.
Pacers gave up people who didn't do well with Tinsley starting.
Warriors will get one of a small ball mentality, while Pacers will be tall and a juggernaut, but with a stupid playmaker to finish games with. I say lose-lose trade...but both coaches got the players they are most comfortable with in the long run.
Wow, Barry and Beno for Jax actually makes a decent amount of sense, but I doubt its doable via numbers. Does it work with Ewill in any way?
SJax would put a whole different world of effort for Pop. There's no way he wouldn't. There is probably one franchise in the NBA where he could succeed, and thats the Spurs.
The numbers work fine.Wow, Barry and Beno for Jax actually makes a decent amount of sense, but I doubt its doable via numbers.
is it just me, or is this trade to sophisticated to think it was Mullin on his own? I guess Nelson has taken over also the FO. anyhow, a brilliant move for the Warriors, considering all thoses millions they saved, while getting better for Nelson ball.
I can't see them not working on another trade. the back-court is to crowded. if J-Rich moves to SF (with Sjax also playing SF) at leat Barnes should be available, maybe even Pietrus.
please RC, weak up. work the phones.
This is good for the Spurs I think.
I'd love for teams to get a little trade-crazy, the Spurs need an active marketplace if they're going to make anything happen.
